We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Tiffanie Glaze. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Tiffanie below.
Tiffanie, looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. How did you come up with the idea for your business?
In 2014, on a solo hike in South Korea, I was faced with a tough decision – keep the teaching job I had dreamed of since I was a little girl that came with safety and security -OR- take a leap of faith and jump into a world of unknowns and what-ifs that had potential to align with the things I valued most. Well needless to say I took that leap and Grounded by Nature Co. was created out of my love of nature and passion for teaching. Although starting my own business took time to actualize, the journey was really what allowed me to fulfill this endeavor. On my journey to starting Grounded by Nature Co. in 2021, I wore many different hats with many different companies and various organizations, I fell in love and had two beautiful children, and I went on a journey of self-discovery. This road is what ultimately led me to start a coaching and consulting company where now I support women along their journey and help them align their vision to their values, teach personal and professional development and coach women on strategies that help with making LONG LASTING change. My sweet spot is to do this work out in nature whenever I can. Working in nature not only helps us DISCONNECT from the outside world, but it helps us RECONNECT with ourselves while CONNECTING with others. Helping women achieve their lifelong dreams while using the warm embrace from Mother Nature is my purpose and I’m so glad I took that leap of faith that one spring day.

Tiffanie, before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?
The three main pillars in my coaching business are:
1) Clarity + Focus
2) Freedom + Alignment
3) Balance + Harmony
I wholeheartedly believe that if we want to be the best versions of ourselves, whether that be in our business or in our personal lives, focusing on these key areas is crucial. In my coaching practice, I work with women in various ways to help keep these elements in balance. My mission is to inspire and empower women to live a life full of passion and purpose by aligning their vision and values and to help spread more positivity, joy, love, and compassion to the world. I aim to increase awareness and educate others on the benefits of nature and to protect and preserve nature for future generations.
Personal and business clients work with me initially on a Clarity 1/2 Day Coaching Session where we take a deep dive into their lives. We focus on their vision for the future and the challenges they face. My clients find clarity of the direction they wish to go and then leave with an action plan to make the necessary changes to get them there. I continue to support their journey with mindset coaching, trainings and accountability. Twice a year I host group nature retreats where we look at professional and personal development skills and learn to apply them to our lives.

Can you share a story from your journey that illustrates your resilience?
Have you ever heard of the story of the resilient orb spider? Well, this beautiful spider weaves her web every night. She spends time building the bridge which is the true foundation of the web, then comes the anchor and then the frame. After the frame, comes the spindles and finally the spiral. This is considered a completed web, a WHOLE web. Well just like in life, the spider is faced with threats and more often than not, part of her web is damaged and she cannot use that portion to capture her prey. Occasionally the entire web is destroyed, ruining the spiders chances to thrive that night. BUT, does this orb spider give up? NOPE! She is resilient and rebuilds. As a matter of fact she rebuilds and rebuilds night after night.
How does this story relate to me or to you? Well, if you imagine the various sections of the web represent various areas of our life (example: Financial, Wellness, Relationships, ect.), sometimes all the areas of our life feel full and therefore complete, but more times than not there are parts of our lives that feel missing or broken.
When I was let go from a job that I thought would be the safety and security I needed for my family, I didn’t give up and lose hope. I took this as the sign to FINALLY start my business. I chose to start repairing the web with a strongert thread. I chose to be resilient. I am like the resilient spider and too will keep on striving day after day, night after night.
What’s been the most effective strategy for growing your clientele?
Clients are the root of my success. The most effective strategy for growing my clientele is being authentic and building real, true relationships. The more I connect from a place of caring, the more my clients trust me. My clients can depend on me to be there to support them but they are there to support me as well. We all learn from one another and I think utilizing this core belief is essential to growing my business.
