We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Tierra Shelton. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Tierra below.
Hi Tierra, thanks for joining us today. When did you first know you wanted to pursue a creative/artistic path professionally?
I have always been a creative human. I remember in Elementary school; specifically in 3rd grade I recreated the dress Pocohantas wore and handmade it out of a brown paper bag.

Tierra, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
I am a PROUD alumnae of Clark Atlanta University! I have a B.A. in Fashion Design/Merchandising. There were so many things that I wanted to do. At first, I wanted to be a fashion designer (yes I know how to sketch and sew) then I wanted to be a wardrobe stylist, the I wanted to be a set costumer for tv sets/movies. Obviously, none of those are my occupation. However, I do show my fashion trends as a content creator.

What do you find most rewarding about being a creative?
I can authentically be me. I can be a storyteller through art whether if it’s through fashion, content creation, etc.

Is there something you think non-creatives will struggle to understand about your journey as a creative? Maybe you can provide some insight – you never know who might benefit from the enlightenment.
Honestly, no. I say this because non creatives will never be on the same frequency as a creative.
