We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Tierra London a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.
Tierra, thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today What sort of legacy are you hoping to build. What do you think people will say about you after you are gone, what do you hope to be remembered for?
When I think about legacy, I think about those who have gone before us to embark on a journey, to dare to do something different, to rewrite the narrative, to create a new blueprint for those who will follow behind. I pray and hope that my legacy will be that which leads to souls being saved, businesses being birthed, books being written, dreams being pursued and fulfilled, and most importantly for those to live a life for Jesus. I pray that my legacy will inspire generational change. I pray that my future children will be able to say “because my parents dared to dream, I too can live my dream.” I pray and hope that my legacy challenges people to embrace their authenticity. I’m different. It took me 30 years to understand this and now that I know, I’m challenging myself to birth the legacy that God has entrusted in me. Wealth, success, boldness, creativity, generational blessings, Gods favor, health, and a generation of trailblazers for years to come. Legacy is leaving your mark. I hope to inspire people to believe in their God dream.

Tierra, before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?
By career I am an FSA( Financial Service Associate). 2022 makes seven years of being in the banking industry. Being in the financial industry has blessed me with great connections, favor, and wisdom. By calling, and Gods design, I am an encourager, speaker, writer, creative, and visionary for my generation. I started my journey in truly following the purpose and plan God has for me in 2018 and I haven’t looked back. It has been challenging. It has been hard, I’ve cried a many tears a lot of days but my resilience and faith in God has kept me going. I’ve been blessed with so many opportunities since I started, God has opened so many doors and I truly believe that we are just getting started. I think what sets me apart is that I understand who I am in Christ. My confidence comes from God alone. It’s none of my great works. It’s all Him. It took me years to embrace the delicate anointing and authenticity but now that I’m coming into true womanhood and embracing my being set apart, it’s such a blessing. I create daily devotional for the multitude of my social media platforms daily. I am also the curator and founder of Silence No More. It’s a non-profit organization and also a young woman’s ministry which I’m excited about what’s to come with that. I’m most proud of my ability to just do it. I didn’t have a blueprint as to what it was supposed to look like, the radical faith that I have when I set my mind to do something blows my mind.
Learning and unlearning are both critical parts of growth – can you share a story of a time when you had to unlearn a lesson?
Ahhhhhh, I’ve had to unlearn so much. My unlearning came from a lot of growing pains. My faith has always been rooted in God but if I can be honest, and say this in a safe space sometimes we get caught up in where we are in our journey versus others. Comparison kills. I’ve had to train myself to believe in who God says I am. Social media will make you think you are behind. Social media will cause you to believe that you are not “successful.” Social media will have you questioning if you’ve done enough or if you are enough if I can truly be honest. I took a 75 day break from social media this year to unlearn a lot of unhealthy patterns. Everything is not what it seems. My true identity and purpose comes from God. Unlearning opinions, the worlds view of success, unlearning the worlds view of what beauty is, and unlearning the idea of who people think I should be. It all came to me when I made the decision to just be who I am unapologetically. This, has taking years. I’m just grateful that I finally decided that I too, am enough.

Is there mission driving your creative journey?
To inspire girls everywhere. I have such a heart for women. I think the world has tainted the truth of the matter, women can come together. Women can truly embrace one another. Women can truly celebrate one another. Women can truly honor one another. Women can truly have beautiful friendships. It is possible. It’s obtainable. My goal is to bring women together for the rest of my life. My goal and mission is to inspire women to never stop becoming in the words of the beauty Michelle Obama. My mission is to push women into their God ordained destinies and to truly support their journey. My goal and mission is to give women hope. My life testimony is one that only God write. He’s truly shown me that I am His. My mission and goal is to show women that no matter their background, they too can live their dream. I solely desire to create safe spaces for women to come together and grow spiritually, emotionally, financially, business/career, relationally, and all while embracing their beauty, rarity, and purity. I desire to create such a space for women to truly thrive and be their most authentic selves unapologetically. I pray that my mission gives women hope to pursue their true mission in life. I’ll spend the rest of my life fulfilling my life’s purpose because I believe that God has truly entrusted me with a generation of moderns day Esther’s.
