Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Tierra Castile. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Tierra, thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today What did your parents do right and how has that impacted you in your life and career?
Well to say the least not everyone’s childhood story is the same. I’m very blessed and thankful to have two strong women who are important to my life raise me. My foster mother who instilled and spoke love and life into me especially during the times I had my surgeries. She taught me the importance of prayer and keeping my faith when times are rough and she also taught me how to stay humble and keep a good character. I may have been her most stubborn child but I truly am grateful to her and everything she taught me. Next is my Mother who taught me what it means to be strong and resilient and how to bounce back from anything. She showed me what it means to be a warrior and to never give up even while she was beating cancer. Both of these women had a huge impact on my life and I wouldn’t be who I am without them. I’ll forever love and cherish everything they’ve taught me. I really hope I make them proud.

Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.
I’m probably one of the shortest photographers you’ll ever meet if you decide to work with me. I got Into the industry by taking pictures at family events as a hobby then started taking it seriously after. I ended up going to a photography workshop one night with my sister where I met my mentor who helped shaped my brand a lot and in a huge way. I do my best to bring my clients vision about how they would want their photoshoot to life. I’m most proud of how far I’ve grown and the support I’ve received while on this venture it has its highs and it’s lows but through it all I’m enjoying every step of it.
What’s the most rewarding aspect of being a creative in your experience?
The most rewarding aspect for me is helping a client create art based off of the idea they gave me to work with. Once I hear their vision I start getting ideas to help them and tell them to let’s make it happen. The outcome after they’ve seen the previews and hearing them say how much they love their pictures it’s rewarding in itself.

What do you think is the goal or mission that drives your creative journey?
One of my main goals is to be able to travel the world and capture photos. There’s so much art and beauty in the world and personally just want to see it all and capture they scenery and the moments of the places I visit.
