The cliché answer would be “hard-work and dedication”. Though that may be true, I also think that your mistakes and willingness to learn from error is what it takes to be successful. When I first became an entrepreneur, I made countless mistakes. However, I learned from them and that’s what ultimately helped me flourish along with hard-work and dedication. I feel more accomplished now than ever and will continue to grow towards success.

Hi! My name is Tierney. I am a self-taught graphic designer and lover of all things DIY. As a child, I established a true love for visual aesthetics and design, seizing every opportunity to express my creativity. My artistic nature followed me into adulthood and has accompanied me on my entrepreneurial journey. In 2018, I launched By Major Kei Creative, where I assist upcoming and current business owners brand and market their businesses by creating captivating visuals. I specialize in services including (but not limited to) brand styling, web design, and logo development. We’d love to hear your thoughts about selling platforms like Amazon/Etsy vs selling on your own site.

I sell on my official website. I prefer to sell my own website because it allows me to showcase my business on my own terms and grants me the ability to display my work how I see fit.

The only con is how expensive it is. However, I’d rather pay for my own space, especially if I can be myself.

Where do you think you get most of your clients from?

I get majority of my clientele from word of mouth and referrals. The others come from social media. I’m appreciative of them all.
