Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Tiara Robinson. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Tiara, looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. Are you happier as a business owner? Do you sometimes think about what it would be like to just have a regular job?
I’m very happy as a business owner but I would be lying if I said it doesn’t become overwhelming and stressful. There’s time where I really want to give up and say let me just do the corporate for life but there’s just something inside of me that keeps on going. I actually have a corporate job at the moment and it’s helping me learn valuable skills such as time management, following up, being organized and just being proactive. I’m taking these skills and applying them to my business. So yeah having a corporate job isn’t ideal, however I’m changing my mindset and figuring out how this job can work for me and my business.

Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers
I started bartending back in 2017 and instantly fell in love with it. I loved curating cocktails, I loved the fast life and just being able to interact with people from all walks of life. In 2018 I decided to start my own mobile bartending business and it has been such a blast. With my business I’m able to alleviate the stress of clients having to tend their own bar or hope that their Auntie is mixing the cocktails correctly. Being the bar business I’m able to be as creative as I want with cocktails (with approval from the clients of course) and it just gives me a thrill. Everyday I’m looking and searching for the latest trends and what people are asking for now while also being true to myself and my business. I want potential clients to know that Tipsy Dollas is passionate about creating an amazing bar experience from being to the end.
Are there any books, videos, essays or other resources that have significantly impacted your management and entrepreneurial thinking and philosophy?
I actually started reading this book called Atomic Habits that has helped me so much as an entrepreneur and just as a person. It has taught that you can’t just depend on motivation to build good healthy habits but actually being disciplined. I loved this so much because as an entrepreneur I’m not always motivated so switching my mind set has been so helpful in me getting more done in my business.

Where do you think you get most of your clients from?
The best source of new clients for me has been honestly word of mouth and referrals. I love that my clients speak so highly of me and my business. It has made my cliental grow tremendously and I’m forever grateful.
