Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Tiara Parker. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.

Hi Tiara, thanks for joining us today. Let’s kick things off with your mission – what is it and what’s the story behind why it’s your mission?

My mission as a makeup artist is to make women feel beautiful! I stand on “enhancing the beauty within” because I want women to know, I am just enhancing what’s already there! I want women to know how beautiful they are and that we don’t have to cover anything up, but just enhance the beautiful features you already have! Within my cosmetics line “Fearless Cosmetics” I stand on the same beliefs! Each of the products are named after affirmations because I want women to feel encouraged to walk with their heads held high in the purest, God given version of themselves every single day!

As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?

I am God’s child first, a wife to an amazing husband (Jimere Parker), a mom of two beautiful kids (Londyn & Legend), Professional Makeup Artist, Cosmetics Owner and Co-Owner of King’s Way Wings! So let’s just say I’m busy! Lol I began the journey as a Professional MUA in 2016 when I was asked to do my first wedding. Before then I played around in makeup in college but never really took my craft serious until then. But after that moment, it sparked a fire in me and I’ve been operating full time since 2019. I had both of my babies in the midst of those three years, so being a new mom and transitioning from corporate America for 5 years before then, entrepreneurship was definitely an adjustment for me. I worked as a Financial Analyst before jumping in and I was so use to the same day to day regimen, that I initially hated entrepreneurship honestly lol. I wanted more structure in a way but I valued the freedom and flexibility above all!
I offer Makeup applications, brow wax & tints & makeup classes. My specialty is the perfect “soft glam!” Many women are afraid of the idea of makeup because of it being overdone sometimes. So, a lot of women love my services because I still make them feel and look like themselves. When God led me to launch Fearless Cosmetics in 2021, it was really a push and a continued purpose for myself. The brand is bigger than cosmetics, it’s a movement! A movement for women to look good on the outside but also feel empowered on the inside. We all know the enemy very well and he has his ways of making us feel like we can’t accomplish, do or have this/that but Fearless Cosmetics was created to remind women to do it anyways! Be bold, be confident, be unafraid and look damn good while you are doing it :)
Running and operating all of these businesses can have its own toll of course, but God consistently reminds me “I was created for all of this!” So it’s been an honor to be able to go after the dreams and visions God has placed in my heart as well as being a helpmate to my King/Husband as he follows his as well with the rise in success of King’s Way Wings!

Any stories or insights that might help us understand how you’ve built such a strong reputation?

Tulsa is honestly a really good place to build a business! I am originally from Kansas City, MO but I never really got to express or show my craft there since I’ve been In Oklahoma for almost 15 years now since college – Go Pokes! But what I’ve learned since being here, the community wants to support! Word of mouth has honestly been a game changer for me. So many people just hear about someone’s glam I did and next thing you know they are in my chair. So of course offering a great service, being professional & consistent has gotten me this far in the business.

We’d really appreciate if you could talk to us about how you figured out the manufacturing process.

My lipsticks are from a vendor that is amazing! It took trial and error of course finding the perfect one but sampling from so many different companies definitely worked in my favor and my customers love the product that’s being created. My other products are all made in house, lip gloss, lip scrubs, lip oils, & my hair growth serums. The research that it takes to create any product is important because ingredients really mean a lot! I graduated from Esthetician school in 2020, so once I was able to dive deeper into ingredients & their affects it really helped me with the pure development of my products as well as making sure my lipstick vendor was aligned with my new knowledge of information as well.
