We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Tiantay & Shantia Moore a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.
Tiantay & Shantia , appreciate you joining us today. Taking care of customers isn’t just good business – it is often one of the main reasons folks went into business in the first place. So, we’d love to get a conversation going around how to best help clients feel appreciated – maybe you can share something you’ve done or seen someone do that’s been really effective at helping a customer feel valued?
From the very beginning of starting our business, giving more than a satisfying service was always something that we felt was necessary. As we clean, we are sure to be observant of our clients and the things that they may like (ex: candles, certain scents, flowers, decor, etc.). Then at the end of each cleaning service, we make a purchase and personally deliver to the family. Additionally, we give various coupons for future bookings. Our clients are always so appreciative and it always makes us feel really good.
Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers.
One day, we were both of video chat and our rooms were a mess. We wanted to motivate each other, so we sat our phones up and started cleaning. This became a regular routine and was honestly very helpful. Then, we thought about how helpful it would be to clean for others because of how detailed and particular we are. We also thought about how many people just don’t have the time or energy to clean their own space. We knew that this would benefit peoples mental health and improve their living space.
Can you share a story from your journey that illustrates your resilience?
One aspect would be social media marketing. Trying to grow your business using social media platforms can be a challenge. We have learned that patience, consistency, and positivity is what keeps us motivated.
What’s been the most effective strategy for growing your clientele?
1. We provide the upmost/top notch service that we possibly can. 2. Accepting feedback/reviews from our clients.
3. Promoting through social media which gives others the option to share and promote.
4. We showcase our brand on our clothes.
