Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Tiago. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Tiago, thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. How did you get your first job in the field that you practice in today?
It all started back in Brazil, when my mother used to tell me everyday to do a research on how I could improve her eyebrows. After that I was tired of hearing that and I decided to research about permanent makeup hahahaha. After that I took a training on Micropigmentation and she was my first model back in the days. Since then I haven’t stopped and over the years I was able to take several types of training around the world, such as for cosmetic or medical tattooing.

Tiago, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
I am going to say a thing that I am sure everyone is already aware of, consistency is the key. I have never given up on this career because I deeply believed in my craft and my principles as a person and professional. I love helping patients it brings me purpose in life, I see clients who have alopecia or have gone through mastectomy, it is very rewarding to be able to help them improve their self-esteem such as a new pair of eyebrows, areola tattooing or improving their lip shape. What I am most proud of is that with my work ethic and my talent I was able to help so many people, but it is not only that, they have helped me tremendously. The conversations I have with my clients throughout the process really complements my life in many aspects. When time, dedication, attention to clients and improvement of your craft is aligned, you build credibility and that is what is important to me nowadays other than anything.

Training and knowledge matter of course, but beyond that what do you think matters most in terms of succeeding in your field?
The most important thing nowadays is to work on your emotional and your psychological side, we are dealing with patients and many lives. It is our responsibility to be flexible, empathetic and understanding with their feelings and needs in order to create a connection so they feel comfortable during our appointments.

How’d you build such a strong reputation within your market?
What helped me build my reputation was to stand to where I think it resonates with me and my extensive knowledge. To say no when I need to and also to say yes when i feel comfortable. When a client looks for a service he/she is also looking for your expertise and knowledge, I have been using it wisely to best direct them on the services I provide.
