We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Tia Williams a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.

Tia, thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. What do you think it takes to be successful?

What I think it takes to be successful is discipline and consistency. You have to continue to put in quality work on a consistent basis in order to see the fruits of your labor. You have to believe that it will work out for you some way some how. You must change your mindset before you make something happen. The Law of Attraction is real.

As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?

My name is Tia Nicole. I’m a Creative Director and founder of The Tia Network. The Tia Network is a combination of my talent skills as an Actress, Model, and Voice Artist. My speciality is Commercial Acting and Modeling. I have done a number of promotional content for voiceovers, tv commercials and promotional modeling. I am most proud that I finally decided to take a leap of faith to follow my passions and create something that I could never be fired from.

I am currently open for bookings and accepting new clients. I am located in Detroit, MI and willing to travel for work. I can’t wait to be the face and voice for your brand.

What do you find most rewarding about being a creative?

The most rewarding aspect of being a creative is that you get to unapologetically be yourself and create or be apart of things that resonates with you. I really enjoy the versatility that comes with being a creative. You get to choose the type of content you want to create. I feel like I have a choice in what area I want go into whether that’s high fashion, swimwear or sportswear for modeling. For acting I can choose to be in a documentary, a film, a commercial. No day is the same. There’s always something exciting to look forward to.

Is there mission driving your creative journey?

The goal that drives my creative journey is true peace and happiness. I believe in getting paid for something that you actually enjoy. That way you put your best foot forward and you never dread going to work, because it doesn’t feel like work. I also believe in having multiple sources of income so that you are never without income.
