Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Tia Adams. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Alright, Tia thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. What did your parents do right and how has that impacted you in your life and career?
My parents have always taught me to be strong and work hard! Nothing in this world comes for free. Plus, that very thing you work the hardest for will become the most precious to you and you cherish it more.
I’ve always seen my mom and dad work super hard, day in and day out to create a better life for all 9 of their kids and to ensure we were prepared to work even harder for what we wanted in life- despite how tired they might have been. Parenthood isn’t easy, but you would think it’s like a cake walk in the park the way my parents took care of us. The hard work and dedication they put forth daily exemplifies the same qualities as the foundation of Boujee Bites.
Not too long before I started my business, my dad has always advocated and had conversations for me to become an entrepreneur, if I wanted to. My dad has always given me key tips and advice on how to start and how to keep going and be consistent while doing so. Those words of encouragement has given me the jumpstart I needed to be successful along with his ongoing feedback. I love that I decided to step in to entrepreneurship world and make Boujee Bites known to the world! As always, it isn’t always going to be easy and you definitely have days you get tired and discourage- but one of the MAIN factors my parents has taught me is to NOT EVER give up! Keep going! If you give up now, look at all the time, money and work you’ve wasted on the way!
Strength, patience and consistency =Success.

As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?
BoujeeBitesLLC💎🍽️ all started from cooking homemade meals for my family every night. I used to post on my Instagram stories and Snapchat ALL OF THE TIME the dinner I had made that night and multiple, multiple, MULTIPLE friends and associates would say, “That look soooo good!”, “Are you selling plates?”, “You need to start selling plates!”, “Can I buy one from you?” so forth and so on. I didn’t ever take it serious at first because I put a lot of love into my food, so it takes time to prepare and I didn’t know if customers would be okay with that wait. Yes, I’ve considered selling plates before but I didn’t follow through at the time because I didn’t want my customers waiting longer than they should for a plate. However, it wasn’t until 3 years later where I actually decided to do a poll on my Instagram and asked if I should start selling plates. That poll blew UP! All of the answers being YES! From then I started brainstorming, trying to create a name, making business cards, thank you cards, etc. I wanted my soon-to-be customers to actually FEEL thee Boujee Experience. I’ve always prayed over my business and asked God if it was in His will for BoujeeBites to be, then it will! Success has been that ever since.
I sell plates Tues-Sun, off on Mondays. I set time frames daily, usually between 5pm-7pm where customers can come and pick up their order. I have some customers who run a little behind the time frame, but I love to make accommodations or work with them, long as they’re communicating that they will be late! Customer Service is ALWAYS a priority for me. If anything is wrong, bring it to my attention and it will be fixed. Food doesn’t taste right? It will be remade. Anything that’s going against what BoujeeBites💎🍽️ stand on will always seek to be made right for our customers!
Our customers love the customer service and the creativity/presentation of their meals. You can go to any other fast food establishment or restaurant and either get thrown together plates or if you’re in a fancy establishment, the meal is $100+ for the food and presentation. Over here at BoujeeBites, you get the best of both worlds. From our crystal diamonds (not edible) being served with your desserts, presentation of food, real chunks of fruit in your Boujee Beverage and I even often time throw in an extra drink or a little extra food just for appreciation of my customers!
If only you knew my full story and what God has brought me through, you’ll know why I go so hard! Nothing in life I take for granted and I’m so grateful and appreciative for everything that’s already mine and what’s to come! The humility that God and my parents has instilled in me will forever be a gift! No matter what comes our way, BoujeeBites💎🍽️ will only go up from here!

What’s been the most effective strategy for growing your clientele?
The most effective strategy for growing clientele is CONSISTENCY! You have to be consistent no matter if you’re super busy or slow. Consistency will get your business in the right hands one day and BOOM! Your business will blow up and reach thousands of people that quick! The more consistent you are, the more your customers appreciate it and want to support you more. That’s when your reposts starts coming in and a friend send it to a friend, to a friend and to a friend. For me, that’s exactly how it went. Even to the point, I mainly get booked to do catering now and I give all of the Glory and Praises to God!
Being consistent comes with bringing all kinds of content, still promoting when you feel nobody’s paying attention, because someone is ALWAYS paying attention. Even if it’s just 1 person. You have to keep that drive going! The sky is the limit, so don’t feel like you’re being a nuisance because it is YOUR business! You are the only one that can support your business better than anyone else can!

Any insights you can share with us about how you built up your social media presence?
I created an Instagram and posted reels and pictures of the meals I was serving! Everyone on Instagram love an aesthetically pleasing video, plus I’m always really particular on how I record my videos or even take pictures! With the way I would present my food along with some minor edits and hashtags, more and more people decided to follow my page @boujeebitesllc.
Advice to those just starting and wanting to build up your social media presence, take your time when it comes to your content! Do not rush and do NOT just throw something out there! Always remember that your customers eat with their eyes first. If it doesn’t look good, it’s not going to sell. You need to present to them why they should give you a try and ensure that your product actually lives up to that expectation.
