We were lucky to catch up with Ti King recently and have shared our conversation below.
Ti, thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. We’d love to hear about a project that you’ve worked on that’s meant a lot to you.
I started a podcast about recovery because I wanted to know what it was like for the people who are trying to head from an addiction. I asked around in the podcast industry pools if they produced a show about it and not a single one did. So I set out and learned from the people who have experienced it themselves and then interviewed policy makers, recovery center leaders, and therapists. It started to produce a world view of what’s actually working and what isn’t. It showed how the average citizen is impacted when someone goes into a successful recovery versus when they don’t.

Ti, before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?
I am a podcast producer, marketer, and creative professional whose work is built on the belief that purpose drives quality. While this is a quick way of saying I do a lot of things with cameras, microphones, and computers, my career took an unconventional path rooted in community service. My journey began in 2022 when I founded the ARKAST podcast festival as a fundraiser, which immediately led to me establishing the first 501c3 nonprofit for podcasters and joining the Board of Governors for The Podcast Academy. This dual experience in creative production and non-profit leadership is what sets me apart. I provide a unique blend of digital media services focused on maximizing impact for mission-driven organizations, specializing in full-service podcast production and creating magazine-quality videography and photography specifically tailored for donor communication and grant applications. The central problem I solve is helping non-profits secure funding by delivering professional content that validates their mission and cuts through the noise.
My expertise lies in integrating video and audio assets into a cohesive media strategy that guarantees usability across all platforms. I am most proud of those moments when a small non-profit informs me the content I produced directly led to them securing a new grant—translating creative work into real-world impact. The main thing I want clients and followers to know is that I am not just a vendor; I am a dedicated partner committed to using high-level creative media to amplify voices that make a positive change in the world. Whether you need to launch an industry-defining podcast or create stunning visuals that move a donor, my brand is about authentic storytelling with a measurable outcome.

Are there any resources you wish you knew about earlier in your creative journey?
If there is one resource I wish I knew about earlier in my creative journey, it would be Qwoted. As a podcast producer and marketer, finding high-quality, relevant guests is essential for growth, and Qwoted has proven invaluable for that. It has helped me book incredible experts for my shows—some of whom have become great friends, and others who have organically turned into fantastic clients for my videography and marketing services. It is a powerful tool that significantly accelerates both networking and business development.

Any advice for managing a team?
My approach to managing a team and maintaining high morale is rooted in authentic, actionable trust. The first pillar is radical transparency, which means having regular, all-team meetings where I share the complete operational picture of the business—the successes, the challenges, and the strategic direction. By communicating everything that would be informative to them and soliciting their suggestions, I make them feel valued and fully invested in the company’s success, giving them a real stake in our outcomes. This genuine demonstration of care and leadership’s commitment to open dialogue is what prevents employees from feeling shut out and fosters a culture of mutual respect and psychological safety.
The second pillar focuses on strategic growth and burnout prevention. I meticulously analyze all current projects and match them with the individual skills and aspirations of my team members, assigning large, impactful tasks that offer challenging growth opportunities. Crucially, I maintain regular check-ins, not just to track progress, but to proactively boost their morale and spot signs of strain. When a team member feels overwhelmed, the leadership’s primary responsibility is to listen, believe them, and immediately relieve pressure through re-prioritization or resource allocation. This support structure ensures that the team feels deeply appreciated for their work and protected from burnout, enabling them to consistently produce high-quality work.
