We recently connected with Ti-Easha Alexander and have shared our conversation below.
Ti-Easha , appreciate you joining us today. We’d love to hear about a project that you’ve worked on that’s meant a lot to you.
The most meaningful project I’ve ever worked on? That’s a tough one because I’ve had a couple that have impacted me deeply. But I think the one that truly stands out is one where I was able to make a difference in someone else’s life.
I had a client, Jalyn, who came to me regularly for her nail appointments. She was always full of life—vibrant, happy, and never without a story to tell. We’d laugh and chat, and she was one of those clients who felt more like a friend. The funny thing was, she always chose the same color—hot pink! It became a bit of a tradition for us.
One day, she told me she was moving to be closer to family, which made me sad, but I was happy for her. She had been going through some tough times in our area, and I knew being closer to family would be good for her. We finished what would be our last in-person appointment, and I wished her all the best.
We stayed connected on social media, as I often do with my clients-turned-friends. One day, she reached out and asked if I could travel to her. It was then that she shared the news—she had Stage 4 Ovarian Cancer. She was too weak to leave her home but wanted to have her nails done for an upcoming vacation.
A few weekends later, I traveled to see her. It was one of the hardest things I’ve ever done, seeing her in that condition. But despite everything, she was still the same Jalyn—full of love and light. Her family was incredibly grateful, and that experience left a mark on me that I’ll never forget.
Not long after, I checked in on her, and her mom let me know that Jalyn had passed. It was heartbreaking. She was such a beautiful soul, and I miss her dearly. I often think about her and know, without a doubt, she made it to those white gates.
Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.
For those who may not have come across my work before, I’m a creative professional with over a decade of experience in the beauty industry, specifically in nail care and luxury services. My journey started with a deep love for aesthetics and helping people feel their best. Over the years, this passion grew into a successful career, allowing me to open my own salon and build meaningful relationships with clients along the way.
My entry into the industry was somewhat organic. I’ve always been drawn to artistic expression, and working in nails allowed me to combine creativity with personal care. Seeing how something as simple as a manicure could lift someone’s spirits or boost their confidence really inspired me to take things further. I eventually specialized in luxury nail services and was fortunate to be featured in various publications, which helped establish my brand in the beauty world.
As for the services I provide, I initially focused on high-end nail care, then coaching other beauty professionals, but my career has since evolved. I’m now pivoting toward a new venture—building a niche web design agency that serves luxury spa and wellness centers. I help these businesses translate their in-person luxury experience into an online presence that reflects their brand’s exclusivity and high standards. My goal is to provide them with customized, high-converting websites that not only attract new clients but also enhance the customer journey and increase upsell opportunities.
What sets me apart is my deep understanding of the luxury beauty and wellness industry. Having been on the other side of it as a salon owner, I know firsthand the challenges these businesses face—wether its creating an experience that matches the reputation of their brand, or navigating the complexities of upselling high-ticket services. I’ve lived it, so I’m able to offer solutions that go beyond basic design. My agency focuses on building trust with clients before they even step through the door, and helping these businesses scale by converting visitors into loyal, repeat customers.
One of the things I’m most proud of is my ability to pivot and grow. Transitioning from a successful salon to building an agency that specializes in web design for luxury spas and wellness centers is a huge shift, but I’m proud of how I’m leveraging my experience to create something new and impactful.
For potential clients, followers, or collaborators, I want you to know that everything I do comes from a place of passion and a genuine desire to help businesses grow. Whether I’m creating a visually stunning website or sharing business tips with other beauty professionals, my goal is always to elevate the industry and provide real, sustainable value.
For you, what’s the most rewarding aspect of being a creative?
For me, the most rewarding aspect of being a creative is the freedom that comes with it—especially time freedom. Being able to set my own schedule and work on my own terms allows me to tap into my creativity without feeling constrained by rigid structures. It’s not just about having more hours in the day; it’s about being able to flow with my inspiration.
When you’re an artist or a creative, there are times when ideas hit you at odd hours or when you’re in unexpected places. Having the freedom to follow that inspiration without the pressure of a traditional 9-to-5 structure allows me to create my best work. It also gives me the flexibility to balance my personal life and career in a way that feels fulfilling.
In the end, it’s about the ability to live life on my own terms, while still doing what I love. That, for me, is the ultimate reward.
Have you ever had to pivot?
I’m currently in the midst of a major pivot in my career, transitioning from the beauty industry—specifically as a luxury nail salon owner—into building a niche web design agency focused on luxury spa and wellness centers. This shift has been both exciting and challenging, but it feels like the right step for where I am now.
For over a decade, I built a successful career in the beauty industry. Owning my salon and working with clients who became like family was deeply fulfilling. I loved the creative aspect of my work and how something as seemingly simple as nails could transform someone’s day. But after years in the industry, I started feeling a pull toward something new. I wanted to use my experience and skills in a different way, one that would allow me to expand my impact beyond just one client at a time.
That’s when the idea of launching a web design agency clicked. I realized I could combine my passion for aesthetics and organization with my deep understanding of the luxury beauty industry to help other businesses thrive. Luxury spa and wellness centers face unique challenges when it comes to their online presence, and I saw an opportunity to help them better reflect their brand’s exclusivity through customized, high-converting websites.
Pivoting after such a long time in one field wasn’t easy. There’s a sense of security in doing what you’ve always done, especially when you’ve found success in it. But I knew I had more to offer, and I wanted to grow. This pivot allows me to leverage my decade of experience in the beauty industry while embracing new challenges in the digital world. It’s been a learning curve, but also a rewarding journey of growth and reinvention.
I’m proud of the work I’ve done in my salon, but I’m equally excited about where this new chapter will take me. It’s a reminder that pivots don’t mean leaving something behind—they mean evolving, expanding, and finding new ways to make an impact.
