We were lucky to catch up with Thuggizzle recently and have shared our conversation below.
Thuggizzle, thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. Let’s start with the story of your mission. What should we know?
Thuggizzle Appalachian Mountain Spring Water Is Here To Make Drinking Water Look Cool. I was extremely concerned about the increasing consumption of sugary drinks among the youth and young adults today. The lure of sugary drinks is leading to serious health complications, and several diet related illnesses such as obesity and diabetes. They don’t want to drink water mainly because they don’t like it. I tried to find a solution that would give them a healthier drinking solution than these harmful sugary drinks, but also impress with a fresh, delicious taste so that our consumers find it more appealing than regular drinking water.
I especially want to reach kids that come from places like me shelters, group homes, foster care, even adoption or a broken household, If you don’t have no one to teach you or show you the right way then you are kind of stuck. If I can just reach those that don’t know better and show something different that will inspire and give hope I’m good. I can only imagine If I saw someone with a product in stores that I can relate to I would feel like there was gonna be hope for a better future.
Phillip Hodge was born with the ability to compose spontaneous poetry. The lyricist has developed a career in music as the rapper Thuggizzle in San Antonio, Texas. Despite the wealth of talent Hodge was born with, the home life of his childhood was one of instability and neglect. His mother sold drugs, and he and his three sisters grew up in and out of foster care, and made wards of the state at a very young age. Hodge first adopted the stage name Thuggizzle, a combination of “thug,” a word he had been called as a young person, and “izzle,” meaning “is him.” Hodge ultimately aged out of the system without finding a forever family.
However, despite all challenges, the young rapper carved out a respectable life for himself. He says, it’s his broken childhood which led him to aspire for a better life. And now, he is committed to make lives better for children like him in foster care through his various initiatives like Thuggizzle Appalachian Mountain Spring Water a good water, great cause Thuggizzle Cares.
“Thuggizzle Appalachian Mountain Spring Water was brought to life to give the teens and young adults who are currently or were previously going through foster care the needed inspiration that if I can they too can. I have been where they are now and I know how that feels. But, I want to assure them there is a life beyond that, a much better life. They should not hold back and work hard to make their dreams a reality.”

Our mission is to help change the way people spend their money. We want people to spend more of their money with small businesses, mom-and-pops, independent artists and creatives rather than with giant, cookie-cutter corporations. We think one of the best ways to do that is to create content that puts these hard working folks at the center of interesting, thought-provoking content and conversations.
