We were lucky to catch up with Thomas Nichols recently and have shared our conversation below.
Thomas, thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. Let’s start with education – we’d love to hear your thoughts about how we can better prepare students for a more fulfilling life and career.
Give students the opportunity to grow into what they want instead of keeping them controlled and boxed in believing that going to school and getting a job is going to fulfill them. Yes a income is necessary for needs but it’s not fulfilling to many people that live, think and function differently. PAY TEACHERS MORE and let TEACHERS TEACH! Teachers should be top 10 paying careers and it isn’t! Paying someone for a future then complaining about the future. You get what you paid for. Teachers are confined to teaching how school districts want them to teach instead of it being genuine and them teaching how they are comfortable teaching. So much more to speak on this topic lol but yea I do have a story.
Thomas, before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?
I’m a dreamer! That love turning my own dreams as well as others into a reality. I’m a comedian, comic book author, actor, voice actor and much more. All these things I wanted to be as a kid! That’s exactly what I am! I try to inspire as much as I can before I expire. TNComicbooks is the company and my first two books are Just Us Cops and T-Horror. Been producing comic books for 7 years now and doing standup comedy for 15 years. Helping people through whatever they are going through however I can and I love being able to do that for my fans, friends, and family.
Is there a particular goal or mission driving your creative journey?
Creating to get others to believe in themselves and creating to inspire those that inspired me.
Standup Comedian – as an introvert I wanted to speak for us and let people know that introverts are some of the funniest people in the room… definitely if you knew what was going on in our minds
Just Us Cops(comic book series) – I wanted to write something so funny that my mentor started doing standup again.
T-HORROR(comic book series)- As a fan of everything horror! I wanted to bring back a true feeling to horror again.
Does your business have multiple or supplementary revenue streams (like a ATM machine at a barbershop, etc)?
Doing standup has brought ALOT more eyes to my comic books!
