Alright, Therese thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. We’d love to hear about when you first realized that you wanted to pursue a creative path professionally.

I always knew I wanted to create change and impact young people. When I was very young I knew there was something special about being a teacher. I would dream of being in a classroom and helping to shape young minds. As I grew older I never gave up that dream. Life would begin to shape itself and teaching in a formal classroom would be delayed.

As I begin to create pathways for new learning opportunities, teaching would always show up. My classrooms became one/one interactions with friends, peers, coworkers and ultimately clients. I began to get a little frustrated that my life had not taken shape the way I had imagined. I never stopped dreaming. My imagination began to reshape what the possibilities looked like for me in the space of being an Educator and Coach.

Therese, before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?

Therese Myers is a native New Yorker. She is a Wife, Mother, Mentor, Author and all around Creative Woman. She has always been a creator of win/win opportunities. She has the exceptional ability to bring out the best in people by coaching them to live their life on purpose and with passion.

Therese earned her Masters of Science in Management and Leadership from Western Governors University. With over 20 years of corporate and leadership experience with luxury brands, Therese is best known for helping to manifest concrete goals with specific deliverables and helping others reimagine the possibilities in their personal life and professional career. She is skilled at inspiring and leading both teams and individuals to success. She has had a direct impact on increasing profitability and visibility for several businesses.

With the inception of Brand New Vue LLC. Therese and her team focuses on reimagining the possibilities of small businesses in the marketplace. This is accomplished by developing innovative strategies for businesses. Brand New Vue is a diverse and engaged management team which focuses on bringing visibility to personal and professional brands in the competitive marketplace.

In 2018 she founded Yes Girls Create (YGC) Inc. a New York City based non profit organization. . YGC. is a 5013c mentorship organization dedicated to uniting girls 8 – 18 years old through creative collaborative events. We host monthly labs where girls receive hands-on training and mentoring from adult women creatives. Our members will participate in a variety of experiences that will enhance their creative spirits, develop their self- esteem, and cultivate timeless friendships. The creation of Yes Girls Create is by far a proud professional accomplishment. Understanding the need for our young girls to have a place to dream, develop their dreams and have woman who look like them pour into them is critical to our futures.

Is there mission driving your creative journey?

My main goal is to reach, teach and inspire as many young girls and adult creatives as I connect with through Yes GIrls Create and Brand New Vue. I wholeheartedly know when we support each other we win. When we pour into our children what we did not have ourselves, we win!

By connecting with our girls, mentors, leaders and beyond we can create connection, support and guidance on a variety of topics that will change, shaped and create better humans all around. We can do this one girl at a time.

What do you find most rewarding about being a creative?

The most rewarding aspect of being a creative is seeing the impact on the people I authentically connect with. There is a need for true connection. When I work with clients, children and my professional network, I hear and see the sparks in their eyes when they dream out loud.

There is something magical when we dream together. We often do not listen to each other. When we take the time to listen to ourselves, our children, family and our community we can create change. Real Life Shaking change! We are inventors, Creators, Authors, Artists, Millionaires and Billionaires waiting to be hatched.
