We were lucky to catch up with Them Damn Mexicans recently and have shared our conversation below.
Hi Them Damn, thanks for joining us today. Can you open up about a risk you’ve taken – what it was like taking that risk, why you took the risk and how it turned out?
Quitting my job after 14 years to “start my own business.” I took some money and invested in myself. Printed up some shirts with my logo and sold out instantly. The rest is history. I’ve sold shirts all across the country.
Them Damn, before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?
Them Damn Mexicans is slowly becoming a major player in many ways. We started as a management company, then got into fashion. We’ve sold shirts, hoodies, beanies, and hats. We have our spring line dropping soon.
We have also done 4 successful events. Our major event is called Embrace the Culture. We also had our first Toy Drive in December. All very successful. Tons of underground local talent and vendors/business owners.
Our talk show TDM Talk just aired last week. We are on live every Thursday 8-9pm via our Facebook/YouTube pages. As well as Real Talk 100 Radio sites.
We will be releasing a compilation album in a few months. As well as continuing to curate playlists with Latinx HipHop every month.
We have much more in store and are very grateful and excited to succeed at every level.

November 2021 I lost my brother in law (RIP Aaron) due to the effects of COVID/Pneumonia. I wanted to quit and didn’t care about any of this anymore. But I knew I had to keep going. While I did take time off to mourn, it made me realize that I couldn’t give up.
Is there mission driving your creative journey?
Yes! To educate, edify, and entertain our people. Teach them that they too, can do it as well. Invest in yourself and work hard. Unite as many likeminded individuals and truly create a movement based off integrity, honor, and hard work.
