We recently connected with Theadina Von Seyfried and have shared our conversation below.
Theadina, looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. We’d love to hear about when you first realized that you wanted to pursue a creative path professionally.
I first knew I wanted to pursue a creative and artistic path when I was just a small child. I grew up in a very artistic environment. My father did real estate but also painted and took me to many art galleries as a child. My mother was always playing classical music, putting on Old-Hollywood movies, and created a beautiful home with stylish interior designs. My dad produced movies and would take me to film screenings and premieres as a little girl. I think it also comes from feeling misunderstood sometimes as well. It was hard for me to socialize with people due to anxiety, or feeling “different” from others- I’ve always felt like I’ve never really “belonged” anywhere. So I would create my own world internally. Externally that came out as painting, drawing, then modeling, and then acting. Any form of self-expression is easier for me to utilize then let’s say having to socialize with other people who would think I’m odd or a little quirky.

Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers.
My name is Theadina Von Seyfried and I am an actress, model muse and artist from Los Angeles, California. I spend my time between both Paris and Los Angeles, and I am currently getting into fashion as well. I have many big dreams and I am extremely ambitious so I plan to keep working until I make a name for myself. I grew up in a. very artistic household. Although my childhood was splendid, it was a little lonely to be honest. I remember being a little girl and just locking myself in my room for hours and just painting & drawing the night away. I’ve always felt different from others so expressing myself artistically was very healing for me. Once I got into high school, I really started getting more into modeling. Me and my friends would take photos of each other, then when I turned 18 that’s when I started modeling professionally. I looked up to people like Dita Von Teese because she is the same height and body as myself, and her style is a bit different and eccentric. I also started collecting corsets around this time. When I was in my 20’s I got bit with the acting bug and started auditioning. I attended Beverly Hills Playhouse in Beverly Hills and took various acting classes around Los Angeles. I had small roles here and there, but I didn’t feel a great drive at that time. I was dealing with anxiety and learning how to have better self-esteem & confidence which is so important to acting and being in front of people.
When my father passed away in 2020, it really hit me hard. I had never lost anyone up until that point. Even though it is difficult to lose someone, it also gave me a lot of strength. Now I feel I have more courage and ambition to go after the things I really want. I never had that push before, and even though it took my father’s death to appreciate life in a sense, I don’t want to waste anymore time feeling insecure or sad. I want to live my life as fully as possible- just as my dad would wish.
This is when I started my plan of realizing my dreams to go to Paris. In March 2023 I went to my first Paris fashion shows for Paris Fashion Week! I never thought in my entire life I would attend PFW! That was a dream come true! So now I am making steps and moves to get into the fashion scene in Paris. I started modeling for different photographers in France, and also became a Muse to a Paris fashion designer named Theo Galbert. My dream in life now is to go back and forth living in Los Angeles and Paris. The Paris fashion scene is a whole other jungle compared to the Hollywood acting scene in Los Angeles! I am just learning how to navigate it all. I have many dreams for myself but now one of them is getting into French cinema. I am learning French as well. So I am getting back into acting in Los Angeles, but I also go back to Paris twice a year to act / model / and make connections.

Is there mission driving your creative journey?
My mission is to be able to express myself fully and help others along the way who have had similar circumstances or difficulties. I think there is beauty in struggle for that is what drives a person to hopefully become better and succeed. There is no point in giving up. No risk, no reward. I love doing artistic endeavors such as acting, modeling, social media work, etc, but at the end of the day what drives it all is connection. Connection to the actor. Connection to a movie. Inspiration. I think people aren’t so divided. I believe we as people have more in common with one another and that connection is so vital. I love reading a script and being able to connect with my character. I love expressing myself in that way. Our struggles as human beings is what connects us. Although I enjoy the creative side to things, I love getting to know people more and what drives someone to do what they do. Acting to me is about learning how people think. My goal as an artist and actress is to connect with the audience. To make them feel my emotions. I’m a very visual person, I enjoy both looking at and creating art. The goal is always to express myself but also be able to connect with my own emotions, and thus be able to connect with other human beings.

How did you build your audience on social media?
An advice I can give to others about how to build a social media presence is to tell a story. What that story will tell is the person’s choice. I would say to keep working at it, and never ever give up. Find your niche. Find your crowd. Find your tribe. Even if it takes some time. You do need others to help you along the way. It helps to have a mentor. But if you have none of these things, the basic foundation (for me anyway) is to believe in yourself. You have to have a vision and stick with it. Be relentless in your goals and pursuits. Don’t let anything or anyone stop you. I see social media as a tool. For me as a model, I use my social medias more as a “Look-Book”. For any social media platform, it is important to utilize all its benefits. You can learn so much nowadays just from looking online or even YouTube! Use social media to express YOUR story & what you want the world to know about you!
