We were lucky to catch up with The Joy 5ive recently and have shared our conversation below.
The Joy, appreciate you joining us today. We’d love to hear about the things you feel your parents did right and how those things have impacted your career and life.
We were all taught music theory and several instruments from very young! That’s what has helped us develop into a band, learn together and perform! Our mom put us in lots of programs from hip hop and tap dance with the New Orleans Ballet Associations youth program to the Jazz and heritage foundations many music programs! Thanks mom!
The Joy, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
We are a band of siblings! We make positive uplifting an upbeat music of multiple genres. We just want to inspire and encourage others and make music. In this day and age, there aren’t many sibling band groups like ours, so I think that sets us aside. We’re very proud of our new song titled Be mine!
One thing we want all of our fans to know is that we want to make others smile, dance, and be happy with our music!
What do you find most rewarding about being a creative?
When people enjoy our music! We want to bring joy and so when we can make someone’s day or see that they really enjoy what we’re doing it makes us so grateful to be artists! We also love when we get to take this show on the road! We love to travel and we love playing our music live as well!
Is there a particular goal or mission driving your creative journey?
. We’re really excited for our new single Be Mine! Our goal is 100k streams so please check it out on all music platforms as well as the Music Video!!
