We were lucky to catch up with THE FALLN1 recently and have shared our conversation below.

THE FALLN1, thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today We’d love to hear about when you first realized that you wanted to pursue a creative path professionally.

Might sound cliched, but music is quite actually woven into my soul. I have been singing for as long as I came into consciousness and my brain started developing memories. I have always aspired to be a successful artist, who is true to his craft, and a master of his skills. Michael Jackson is one of my biggest inspiration since I was a child seeing him perform for thousands of people and people calling out his name and just waiting to see a glimpse of him has always motivated me to have that for myself.

As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?

The Falln1—Is the brainchild of Indian singer/songwriter Aarnav Bhatia. Even the brightest Tracks from my catalog (“Tryin”,“Fall”) feel like they echo darkness, the feeling that pain is pleasure and death is a release.I delved into music production and songwriting in 2021, unveiling his first album, “Vespera,” in November 2022, followed by the release of the E.P. “Dearly Beloved Desolation (DBD)”. Both projects are interconnected through a compelling storyline revolving around his character, The Falln1, serving as his artist alias.Despite limited formal training in music production and singing, My skills are self- learned through years of listening to his inspirations.

The narrative unfolds in the first album, showcasing The Falln1’s journey from a highly narcissistic self-view to a descent into the depths of self-doubt. This story continues in DBD, where he attempts to regain the feelings he once had about himself by engaging in toxic patterns to numb his pain. “Vespera” leans towards a pop sound, transitioning from brightness to darkness by the last track, while “DBD” picks up from the dark melancholic style of R&B, progressing from a grungy sound to a more subdued yet sorrowful style of pop R&B by the E.P.’s conclusion. Being a avid film watcher all of the sonic on his projects sound very cinematic.Both the album and the E.P. feature seamless transitions between songs, allowing listeners to immerse themselves in the dark and twisted mind of The Falln1, a character surprisingly relatable to many.

We’d love to hear a story of resilience from your journey.

Having recently relocated to Los Angeles from Delhi,India to transform my dreams of becoming a successful recording and performing artist into reality, I am currently enrolled in the Musicians Institute, pursuing my artist producer entrepreneur program. I am diligently working on my third album, aiming to complete his initial trilogy later this year. Being in a whole new country across the globe without anyone to guide you through the process can be hard at time. This is the first time I’ve been outisde of my country alone. Adjusting to culture the new space has taken its fair-share of toll on me but powering through it and letting the city of angles inspire me has made me come up with a extensive and polished body of work.

What’s the most rewarding aspect of being a creative in your experience?

The feeling that somebody can relate to your art and feel like they aren’t the only ones who are going through it. To make some feel they have a safe place to come back to. I try to normalize the low life, the anxiety and the bad decisions we make in our life through my music because it is something we all go through. Helping some on come-out from a mindset of self pity and self doubt is one the most rewarding aspect of being a creative.
