We were lucky to catch up with The Demi Godzz recently and have shared our conversation below.
The , thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today It’s always helpful to hear about times when someone’s had to take a risk – how did they think through the decision, why did they take the risk, and what ended up happening. We’d love to hear about a risk you’ve taken.
Demigod AJ says “we took a risk when we decided to follow our mother’s footsteps.”I remember my brother and I going to the studio late nights with my mom Amazon Godezz and going through college and she never gave up.That made us want to pursue our dreams . Personally I never thought she would allow me to pursue music because of my grades.I had to take multiple risks to get my grades up to show her that I was serious. There were times I had to speak up and ask for help.I had to ask teachers multiple times to update my grades. It forced me to have to speak up to my teachers and learn how to communicate with them.It also forced me to work on my behavior. I’m still a work in progress but overall my mother motivated me to take risks so I can do music ,sports and anything else that I want to accomplish.
Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.
Demigod AJ (11):
“Hi, I’m Demigod AJ! My brother Demigod RJ and I create kid-friendly music that glorifies God. We’ve seen how many kids don’t have positive role models or music they can listen to that speaks about faith, hope, and doing what’s right. Growing up, we noticed a lot of kids facing tough situations like poverty and bullying, and we want to show them that they’re not alone. Music is our way of spreading love, encouragement, and God’s message to kids like us. What sets us apart is that we’re not just making music—we’re starting a movement for kids to stand strong in their faith and be proud of who they are. I’m most proud of the way our music is already touching people’s hearts, and we hope to inspire kids everywhere to believe in themselves and make a difference.”
Demigod RJ (8):
“Hi, I’m Demigod RJ! My brother and I love making music that helps kids feel happy, confident, and close to God. We noticed that not a lot of kids our age have music they can listen to that’s both fun and talks about God. In our schools, we saw kids who were sad, bullied, or struggling, and it made us want to do something about it. Through our music, we want to show kids that they are loved, they are special, and they can be leaders too. What makes us different is that we’re not afraid to talk about our faith and share our story, even though we’re still kids ourselves. I’m really proud of the songs we’ve made and the way people smile when they hear them. Our dream is to inspire other kids to stand up for what’s right and believe in themselves, no matter what they’re going through.”
Amazon Godezz:
“As their mother, I’m so proud of Demigod AJ and Demigod RJ. They have such big hearts and a strong desire to create meaningful change. Their music isn’t just about entertainment—it’s about giving kids a voice, showing them they matter, and reminding them of God’s love. These boys are truly on a mission, and I’m honored to support them every step of the way.”
What do you think is the goal or mission that drives your creative journey?
Demigod AJ (11):
“Our mission is to inspire kids like us to stand strong in their faith, believe in themselves, and know that they can make a difference. We want to create music that not only sounds good but also spreads a message of hope, love, and courage. Too many kids are facing tough situations like bullying, poverty, or feeling like they don’t belong, and we want them to know they’re not alone. Our goal is to build a community where kids can feel safe, encouraged, and proud to glorify God through their actions and their dreams.”
Demigod RJ (8):
“Our goal is to show kids that being kind, loving God, and doing what’s right isn’t something to be shy about—it’s something to be proud of. We want our music to remind kids that they’re special and that they have a purpose. Every song we make comes from our hearts, and we hope it helps kids feel brave, happy, and closer to God. Our mission is bigger than music—it’s about creating change and helping kids see their worth.”
Amazon Godezz:
“The boys’ mission is so powerful because it’s rooted in something pure: the desire to help and uplift others. Their goal isn’t just to make music—it’s to create a movement where kids feel empowered, loved, and inspired to glorify God in their own lives. Their creative journey is driven by purpose, and I believe they’re already making a real impact.”
How can we best help foster a strong, supportive environment for artists and creatives?
Demigod AJ (11):
“I think society can support artists and creatives by really listening to their messages and giving them platforms to share their voices. For kids like us, it’s important to have spaces where we feel heard and valued, not just as kids, but as creators with something meaningful to say. More opportunities for young artists to perform, collaborate, and grow would make a big difference. When people support our music, share it, and believe in our mission, it helps us reach more kids and spread our message even further.”
Demigod RJ (8):
“I think society can help artists by showing support, not just with likes and follows, but by really believing in their work. For kids like us, it helps a lot when adults and other artists encourage us and give us chances to shine. It’s also important to create safe spaces where artists, especially young ones, can express themselves without feeling judged. When people invest in artists—by coming to shows, buying music, or even just sharing kind words—it helps us grow and keep creating.”
