Our mission remains the same since we last spoke. We continue to deliver great photography and capture tender moments for our customers. The only thing we’ve changed is our style. We have adopted a dreamier feel to our photos, and sometimes we infuse our style with a moody, romantic, intimate feel. To be honest, we’ve always loved that style but we never had the courage to do it. Honestly, we needed to be confident and have the guts to say, ‘you know what? I’m an artist. I’m going to push the boundaries and photograph the way I want to.’ And people have been loving it. But other than that, our sessions continue to be an adventure in life and a journey to self-define and self-love as an individual, couple, or as a family. It’s been great!

For those who are new to our story, allow us to introduce ourselves. We are known as The Black Rider and Lady Black Rider, a husband and wife photography team driven by a shared passion for capturing life’s most precious moments.

Lady Black Rider’s journey into photography began with a fascination sparked by editorial magazines like Vogue and Vanity Fair. Her experimentation with photography eventually led her to capture her first wedding alongside her husband, Tony, after they tied the knot in 2012. Today, she finds joy in creating art and connecting with people through photography, aiming to showcase the beauty within each individual through her lens.

As for The Black Rider, photography has always been a part of his life, inspired by magazines like National Geographic and Vanity Fair. With his first camera at 18 and his first Canon DSLR at 23, he delved deeper into the world of photography, ultimately falling in love with the blend of artistry and photojournalism found in wedding photography. Together with Lady Black Rider, they’ve had the privilege of capturing countless love stories and forming meaningful connections with their clients.

What motivates and inspires us in our craft is the profound impact that photography can have on people’s lives. Listen, there is so much hype about having thousands and possibly millions of followers on Instagram and other social media platforms. Don’t buy into it. It’s all hype. I would rather have 900 followers who are actual paying customers than 9,000 followers who never even like your photos. Just keep on producing what you love. If you are doing it for the follows, you are doing it wrong.

Any stories or insights that might help us understand how you’ve built such a strong reputation?

I think it’s the experience we give our customers when we do photography, and to be honest, it’s throughout the whole process, from beginning to end. Of course, the final product.
