We recently connected with The Accident Theory and have shared our conversation below.
The Accident Theory, thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. How did you learn to do what you do? Knowing what you know now, what could you have done to speed up your learning process? What skills do you think were most essential? What obstacles stood in the way of learning more?
We were inspired by the big music movement that was the late 90s/early 2000’s. Most definitely inspired by the people who decided to tune their guitars down lower and sang the way they wanted to sing their songs without any care in the world..
Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.
In the early 2010’s, we were all playing in separate bands in the Arizona metal scene. There was a special bond everyone in that group had with each other, it was a very close group of people who shared a sense of unity and passion for the same thing, to accomplish the same goals and that is to be successful in this business. By 2018, all of our bands broke up but we as individuals still had the desire to play music. We met up at a rehearsal space, one of those pay by the hour places in downtown Phoenix and the rest was history. We have been inseparable since.
Looking back, are there any resources you wish you knew about earlier in your creative journey?
Just to be a bit more patient and to take everyones advice into consideration but ultimately go with your instinct.
What can society do to ensure an environment that’s helpful to artists and creatives?
The best way you can support an up-and-coming artist is to listen to their music, go to their shows and tell people about them. There is no stronger tool in this business than the word of mouth.
