We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Thario & Kandice Dorsey a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.

Alright, Thario & Kandice thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. Do you take vacations? Why or why not?

Yes, we absolutely take vacations. As a business owner this is needed! There are things we do to keep things going. First, we communicate ahead of time with our clients to let them know when we will be on vacation. Next, we get ahead of our work as much as we can to plan for the timespan that we will be gone. So that means scheduling any blog posts or social media posts to go out, and completing website projects or maintenance before we go on vacation.

Our advice to entrepreneurs who feel like they can’t step away from their business for a short vacation, is that you should definitely go! From time to time we need to step a way and reset our minds to come back even strong and ready to work. If you’re hesitant, it may be best to start with a staycation. That way you can unplug, but you are close enough to feel comfortable.

We’d love to hear about how you met your business partner.

For those that don’t know, we are a husband and wife duo. We both attended college at Georgia Southern University in Statesboro, GA. We lived in the same apartment complex and it wasn’t until Thario moved into an apartment right next door to Kandice. We became friends, then we dated and eventually graduated and moved to Atlanta. During this time we talked alot about our work experiences and thought that with our knowledge and skills put together, Marketing and IT, that we could start a business.

Any stories or insights that might help us understand how you’ve built such a strong reputation?

There are a few things that we think helped build our reputation. One being doing great work, which consists of designing and developing professional websites that exceeds client needs and bringing more leads to businesses. Another thing is that we communicate effectively with our clients. Often times when clients approach us the mention that being an issue with other agencies. Lastly, we are an ongoing partner with our clients, we don’t leave them to figure out things on their own. We are a consistent resource.
