Hi Thario & Kandice, thanks for joining us today. So, let’s imagine that you were advising someone who wanted to start something similar to you and they asked you what you would do differently in the startup-process knowing what you know now. How would you respond?
If we were starting over, we would do a lot of things differently. For one, we’d charge what we are worth. Meaning we would charge for our time as well as our knowledge and expertise. When we started we were charging next to nothing and spending all of our time working to get one project completed.
To get to where we are today faster, we would hire talented Digital Marketers to do the bulk of the work. This would allow us to have more time to market our own business. We could also take on more clients and be more productive.
Thario & Kandice, before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?
Lebra Web is a Digital Marketing Agency providing Search Engine Optimization (SEO), Paid Search (PPC), Social Media Marketing, and Web Design. We aim to increase web traffic, brand awareness, leads & customers to help you grow your business.
We have over 15 years experience working in Web Design & Digital Marketing. Lebra Web started out as a Web Design in 2010. As we saw a growing need for web presence we naturally evolved into a full Digital Marketing agency. We have worked with many different industries including music, real estate, information technology, clothing/apparel and more.
How’d you meet your business partner?
We met in college at Georgia Southern University. We were next door neighbors our senior year and eventually got married. I studied Information Technology with an emphasis on Web Development. Kandice studied Business Marketing with an emphasis in Sales. With the knowledge and skillsets we learned at Georgia Southern, it was only right that we put it all together and start a business of our own.
What’s worked well for you in terms of a source for new clients?
So Thario worked full-time for an IT company (Datacenter Hardware and Support specifically) and Kandice worked full-time for our business as well as being a stay at home mom. We felt that it was time to work full-time for ourselves. Thario pitched to the IT client to be our first big client and we won the deal! Because of the great work Thario had done and help grow their leads and revenue it didn’t take long before we were full-time with Lebra Web. To answer the question, we found a niche in the IT industry and have gotten alot of inquiries about doing the same for others in the industry.
The next best source has been from managers in the music industry that understand the importance of conveying their brand through a quality designed website and to showcase their music and visuals.
