Thanne, appreciate you joining us today. So, what do you think about family businesses? Would you want your children or other family members to one day join your business?

Family businesses can be challenging, separating professional and personal life isn’t always easy and can lead to relationship issues. However, I believe a family partnership can bring great advantages both professionally and personally, especially when family members share the same passion and trust each other, and at Benatti Beachwear, mother and daughter seek mutual inspiration and strength on a daily basis.

As with any relationship, we need to listen to each other in order to communicate well and make the right business decisions. It is also very important when you have a family business, to know how to balance work time and personal relationships. After all, business is business, and it’s essential to have a love connection and enjoy family moments where we don’t mix with work, balance is everything.

Founded in Miami, Benatti Beachwear is a mom-and-daughter shop with the aim of making you feel comfortable with your body, as our suits are designed with style and comfort in mind, with a touch of Brazilian sensuality. Our focus and what sets us apart is the fusion of the perfect Brazilian-inspired swimsuit with a Miami vibe that’s bright, fun, and vibrant. Our pieces are designed in-house and produced locally, and we take pride in our work.

Can you talk to us about manufacturing? How’d you figure it all out? We’d love to hear the story.

The founder and head designer of Benatti Beachwear, Eliane Benatti Rochebois, though a lawyer by trade, has always had a passion for fashion. Learning how to sew at a very young age and seeing an opportunity in the Miami market for Brazilian beachwear, she started to manufacture our first pieces in 2007. Over the years, Eliane perfected the designs, trained, and cooperated with the seamstresses that joined our team to achieve the perfect fit for our pieces. Our goal is to provide a distinctive experience to our customers, providing great products and unique service. We make our own pieces, so we are close by to ensure quality from start to finish. We are a company concerned with the environment and that strictly follows a careful selection of raw materials, so we preserve nature and at the same time, we manufacture our products, with a focus on quality, comfort, resistance, and durability.

In the current context in which we live, it is increasingly necessary to rethink consumption, since, when it is done irresponsibly, it can contribute to the precariousness of work, the degradation of nature, and other consequences that have a great impact on the world. We are a slow fashion company, designed and adapted to a sustainable and conscious method. With the segment’s high competitiveness, products such as fast fashion, have lower prices, but also very low quality. Our focus at Benatti Beachwear is to always manufacture a well-elaborated design and work with materials that have a pleasant touch, quick drying, high breathability, durability, color vivacity, and are not harmful to the environment.

What do you think helped you build your reputation within your market?

The beachwear industry is versatile and dynamic, always presenting changes that foster innovation and creativity in the industry. In order to grow our business and build a strong reputation in the market, we are always ahead with strategic planning, and constantly seeking knowledge and innovation. Building good autonomy for a business takes time, consistency, and effort. Achieving a solid reputation in any market niche requires dedication and we believe in building a good and lasting relationship between our customers and Benatti Beachwear. Another important factor in gaining a good reputation in the market is the quality and design of our products, which are stylish, made with high-quality fabrics and designed with comfort in mind.
