We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Thaddeus Williams. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Thaddeus below.
Alright, Thaddeus thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. Alright, so we’d love to hear about how you got your first client or customer. What’s the story?
My first client was iOctane (Jamaican Reggae Artist). I did a free advert for an event and he was a featured artist on the event after the event they asked the promoter for my number, reached out, for a moment I thought I was being pranked. We were in communication and I was asked if I was available for tour and do a few artworks. I said Yes! I mean you’re my first paying client of course am available! Lol ! Even to this day I can remember that feeling when that direct deposit hit my bank account! That lead me to working for Vybz Kartel, Mavado, Alkaline and Jahmeil and many more.
Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers.
Hi Canvas Rebel, my name is Thaddeus Williams I’m a Multimedia Designer and the owner of Thaddeus Deluxe Studio. I felt like I have been in the industry for years starting from a young age. I had an in-law who would go to different studios to collect radio jingles from many artistes, seeing that inspired me a lot to which it helped to begin my journey in the entertainment industry as it felt like a familiar place when it was time to start my company. I offer a wide range of services Motion, Production, Post Production, Retouching, Social Media Content, Video Editing, Video & Motion and Graphic Design. I will aid in helping you engage your target audience by using my craft to develop concepts, designs and ideas with other useful marketing tools for print and digital outlets.
Learning and unlearning are both critical parts of growth – can you share a story of a time when you had to unlearn a lesson?
I used to take everything personal in business. I had to unlearn that fast if you want to keep the lights on. Not everything people say you should bring over to the next day.
We’d love to hear the story of how you built up your social media audience?
Look at it this way, your social media profile is your portfolio, whatever you post you will be judge by the mass. it helps to keep your image clean and professional and make whatever you’re doing clear for example if you’re a baker post content related to baking etc.
