Alright, Teyonna thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. Let’s kick things off with your mission – what is it and what’s the story behind why it’s your mission?
Our mission is rooted in a deep commitment to providing quality childcare and support for all parents and children in our community and beyond. It drives us to create a nurturing and safe environment where kids can thrive and parents can feel confident in the care their children receive. We believe that quality childcare extends beyond just supervision; it’s about fostering personal growth, self-reliance, and interpersonal skills through our “Mastering Mindful Living” curriculum.
This mission is particularly meaningful to us because we recognize the challenges many families face, including our own experiences as children. We grew up in a community where access to nurturing childcare was limited, and we didn’t have the opportunity to benefit from such support. Our aim is to change that narrative, ensuring every child has access to a safe and fun environment that promotes their development while supporting our committed team members with quality jobs and a supportive workplace. Together, we are building a brighter future for parents, children, and our community.

We are a childcare service-based business located in New Orleans, LA, dedicated to providing comprehensive childcare solutions, including general childcare, transportation, and support for families both locally and in surrounding areas. Our team consists of over 10 trained sitters who offer flexible availability to meet the diverse needs of parents. We pride ourselves on servicing families in the comfort of their own homes or in public spaces for events such as weddings, birthday parties, museums, and schools. What sets us apart from other childcare companies is our unwavering commitment to being supportive in every aspect of childcare—not just babysitting. Our unique curriculum and well-defined policies ensure that our team is equipped to provide not only care but also engagement and developmental support for children. We are most proud of our ability to nurture and foster the developmental growth of every child we care for while maintaining a safe and fun environment. We’re here to support families in New Orleans and beyond, helping them find peace of mind while their little ones thrive.
Can you tell us the story behind how you met your business partner?
I met my partner and co-founder during my freshman year at the University of New Orleans, LA. Although we were initially set to be roommates, that didn’t pan out until the following year. As our friendship blossomed, we realized that babysitting could be a great opportunity for college students like us. What started as a simple idea quickly evolved into something much more meaningful, leading us to create our childcare service and support families throughout our community. It’s been a rewarding journey, turning our friendship into a thriving business that we’re both passionate about!
What’s worked well for you in terms of a source for new clients?
Facebook and word of mouth are undoubtedly our two best sources for gaining new clients. We’ve noticed that satisfied clients are always eager to recommend us, and many parents share that they discovered our services through referrals. Additionally, they often follow us on social media after hearing about us from others. This organic growth through trust and community engagement has been invaluable to our success!
