We recently connected with Tevon White and have shared our conversation below.
Tevon, appreciate you joining us today. Can you tell us a story about a time you failed?
During my high school days specifically the year 2020 and the virus COVID-19 being a large effect on how we lived caused me to use my creativity a lot more and starting making clothes for other peoples business or events at the age of 15, I later ran into a client who wasn’t so satisfied with the products I produce after I spent multiple hour fixes the previous mistakes and ended getting sued when had me in distraught. It hurt me but it gave me the vision to start new creating a brand for myself that had a powerful meaning and came up with UNBEARABLE.

Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers.
My mission is to help struggling families, support the youth who don’t have families and break generational curses. Coming from a struggling family opened my eyes at a very young age, at the age of 5 me and my older sister were placed in DHS for 2 years until I was adopted by my grandmother. We never had a home of our own so we had to consistently stay with different family members moving from home to home never really being able to afford things as far as clothes, heat, electricity, or food. From elementary school to the beginning of high school. My slogan is, “reflect from the unbearable” taking my designs and make each piece of clothing with reflective material. Ive had did giveaways to the youth at my school after I graduated and during my times in high school had a lot of support from fellow classmates, teachers, and staff. Now I have huge influencers who I ship packages to being from Texas, California, Florida, etc. My mission is not over for I am still young but have many more to accomplish.

What else should we know about how you took your side hustle and scaled it up into what it is today?
My side hustle did turn into a full time job, I had to take it more serious when I found out I had Inventory coming and going I wish I could have done things a lot differently but Im happy I was able to reach the amount of people I was able to. Starting at 15 I only had the people who I knew on social media, my current 9-5, and school who I could talk about my business too and It helps because one person tells another and the one tells a group.

What’s been the best source of new clients for you?
My best source have only been from the people I interact with or pop up shops, Ive never been much on the ecom side of things but Im always learning so when the times comes I can attack at my best interest.
