We were lucky to catch up with Tevin “The Gold Giraffe” Rice recently and have shared our conversation below.
Tevin “The Gold Giraffe”, thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today We’d love to hear about a project that you’ve worked on that’s meant a lot to you.
The most meaningful project I’ve worked on is Beach Knight, hands down. This album wasn’t just music – it was a spiritual breakthrough, a creative rebirth. I released it on my birthday, January 13th, without any social media announcements, no big marketing rollout – just me, the music, and God. And that was intentional.
For years, I felt a creative block, like I was making art through the lens of what would “work” in a capitalist system rather than what was truly in my soul. But Beach Knight was different. It flowed out of me in a way that felt divine, like I was finally aligned with my true purpose. It freed me from years of overthinking and the pressure to chase algorithms and trends.
Of course, it’s scary to release something without the traditional promo machine behind it. But I realized my gift wasn’t given to me for clout or industry validation – it was given to glorify God. That shift changed everything. Now, I create from a place of freedom, trusting that the right people will find my work at the right time. And that, to me, is what true success looks like.
Tevin “The Gold Giraffe”, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
I’m Tevin Rice, aka The Gold Giraffe, a father, husband, artist, producer, grand vibrational designer, and audiovisual production technician. Everything I create is rooted in energy, intention, and storytelling. I don’t just make music – I design experiences that shift perspectives, spark creativity, and inspire transformation. My journey started with playing piano by ear as a kid, then studying classical music, theater, and speech & debate, all of which shaped how I approach art, branding, and creative expression. Over the years, I’ve built a career that blends music production, visual storytelling, branding, and coaching under my philosophy of Grand Vibrational Design (GVD) – an approach that ensures everything I create aligns with a deeper purpose.
I also run Good Vibes Dealer (GVD) Incense, a brand I dedicated to enhancing creative and spiritual spaces through scent, energy, and mindfulness since 2016. My work isn’t just about entertainment – it’s about transformation, helping artists, entrepreneurs, and brands connect with their audience in an authentic, soul-driven way. I reject the idea that creativity has to be dictated by algorithms or industry trends. Instead, I focus on intuitive artistry, creating work that resonates on a higher level. Whether through music, branding, storytelling, or sensory design, my goal is to help people tap into their creative power and move with intention.
What do you think is the goal or mission that drives your creative journey?
Absolutely! My entire creative journey is rooted in Grand Vibrational Design (GVD) – a philosophy I developed that intertwines creativity, self-awareness, and energy alignment. For me, creating isn’t just about making things – it’s about tapping into something deeper, something real. It’s about designing a life that feels as good as it looks, moving with intention, and using creativity as a way to heal, express, and connect.
A perfect example of this is my latest album, BEACH KNIGHT. I released it right after stepping away from social media, and that timing wasn’t accidental. Letting go of social media wasn’t just about escaping the noise – it was about reclaiming my creative energy, shifting my focus back to making art for the sake of vibration rather than validation. BEACH KNIGHT represents that shift – it’s a sonic reflection of freedom, presence, and the power of creating on your own terms.
Everything I do – from music, storytelling, design, coaching – it all comes back to this idea that we’re not just here to produce, we’re here to resonate. I’ve seen firsthand how creativity can shift energy, transform perspectives, and bring people into alignment with themselves. That’s exactly what drives me. Not just the act of creating, but the why behind it – the way art and sound can shift a room, elevate a moment, or remind someone of who they really are.
Grand Vibrational Design isn’t a brand or a business strategy – it’s a way of being. It’s about breaking free from creative limits, embracing the ebb and flow of artistry, and recognizing that what we create isn’t just for us – it’s a frequency that ripples outward. BEACH KNIGHT was my first step into that new creative space, and my goal is to continue exploring, refining, and sharing that energy in a way that inspires others to do the same.
How can we best help foster a strong, supportive environment for artists and creatives?
Society needs to stop treating art like a luxury and start recognizing it as a necessity. Creativity is culture. Creativity is economy. Creativity is healing. But too often, artists are expected to create for exposure, grind for scraps, or constantly prove why their work has value – when, in reality, creativity is what gives life its color, its rhythm, its meaning.
To truly support artists, we need infrastructure, investment, and intention. That means funding the arts consistently, not just when it’s trendy or convenient. It means paying artists fairly instead of assuming passion is enough compensation. It means creating spaces – physical and digital – where creativity can thrive without barriers.
Education plays a big role too. We have to teach people that artistry isn’t just a hobby, but a viable, sustainable path. That means integrating creative entrepreneurship into schools, making mentorship accessible, and redefining success beyond just commercial viability.
And honestly? Society needs to let artists be artists. Not every creation has to be a viral moment or a business venture. Let creatives experiment, evolve, and express without pressure to commodify everything. A thriving creative ecosystem isn’t built on trends – it’s built on freedom, support, and respect for the process.
That’s part of why I built Grand Vibrational Design as more than just an idea – it’s a platform. At GrandVibrationalDesign.com, I’m creating a space for artists and creatives to find real support, inspiration, and guidance. Whether it’s through music, coaching, or simply connecting with like-minded individuals, my mission is to help creatives move with intention, build confidence, and design lives that truly resonate.
If we want a world that inspires, we have to start investing in the people who create the inspiration.
