We caught up with the brilliant and insightful TETRA a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.

Alright, TETRA thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. When did you first know you wanted to pursue a creative/artistic path professionally?

I would have to say, the very first moment I got to perform my own recorded tracks in front of a crowd, and seeing how they reacted to my performance. I think it was in that moment seeing how supportive everyone was from the start, just made me realize that it was something I truly enjoyed to do and wanted to take seriously. I could see myself doing this for a very long time and having so much fun with being able to share it with others! That gave me the drive to persue my dream so that i could enjoy every second of it like the way i felt during those performances and being on that stage. There’s truly no other feeling like it!

TETRA, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?

I am a newly rebranded and creative music artist by the name of TETRA444, born and raised on the southeast side of Grand Rapids, Michigan but currently residing in the state of Arizona! Previously known as Senua, the name which I released my first few projects under when I began my music career, was a way of being able to get a name out there that no one had ever heard before. Something that stood out from the crowd. And with the help of some very great friends and fellow artists, I was able to release my first recorded projects onto streaming platforms and gain enough traction within and outside my city to be able to perform and collab with other great artists! From there, i’ve been able to meet and work with so many other amazing and talented creatives, but im looking forward to many more moments such as these!

For the creatives and supporters who may be curious as to what services I can provide, I would say my services range from vocal collaborations on songs such as verses, hooks, and/or background vocals. Alongside that comes voice acting or singing song compositions for movies and tv shows. But, my talents also range in modeling, music video acting, and creative directing as well! There are many more ventures of mine i plan to provide later on, but i believe that is what sets me apart from most! One thing about me is that you’ll never know what to expect next! I’m always on new adventures and creating in different ways that i believe truly speaks to everyone in some way or form. I believe that the people who know me and my intentions know that the reach i strive for is beyond just the physical, but the mental and emotional planes. Something that i truly believe certain mainstream music is missing today. I feel as though it’s missing the true love and emotion that SPEAKS to peoples hearts and souls. There is too much hate and negativity being spread in entertainment. That’s why I know i was put here on this earth to spread and give back the opposite of that through my creations. That, along with my family and friends are my driving force in continuing this path to this day!

Being able to physically see and hear the impression you’ve left on people with your craft, having others tell you that you’ve inspired them to create again or to just start in general and take it serious because they see that it’s paying off for you if such an amazing and abundant feeling! And I am truly proud to say that I’ve been able to leave a mark on people’s hearts just by showing them that anything is truly possible! Even if we dont always feel like it, especially when many of us suffer from things such as mental illnesses or trauma that kill our dreams. My goal was to show people that you can believe in yourself again and you dont have to give up, no matter what the world or your own mind throws at you!

What can society do to ensure an environment that’s helpful to artists and creatives?

Personally, in my view i believe that society could benefit from learning to not look down upon being an artist or creative as a full time career. I feel as though alot of people are ignorant to the process of what being a full time artist is like and what goes into it, especially if you are independent. It takes alot of time and energy, but also a ton of work has to go into it cause you are a full time boss of your own business and have to continuously have the energy to take care of things that need your attention. Having a team definitely helps and can make things a bit easier, but you all collectively come together and put your time, effort, blood sweat and tears into your crafts and that truly takes alot of resilience and ambition. I also believe that schools should stop defunding arts programs and give children their ability to be imaginative and creative while expressing that through art again. It’s so important that we feed the children of the new generations’ imaginations, because it allows them to be able to express themselves and not be afraid to create the art they’ve always wanted to without the world telling them it’s unrealistic and they womt survive off of it. Being a creative isn’t about just making money and making a living off of it, it’s about being able to be happy with a career of our choice that people will support no matter what because it makes us truly happy and free within ourselves. That’s what living is all about, right?

For you, what’s the most rewarding aspect of being a creative?

Being told how my music has touched people and changed their lives is probably the most rewarding thing you can be told as an artist. That is exactly why i do this! Music is what changed my life alongside other people I’ve met along the way, but it’s what made me want to live life again! So when i have someone tell me that I’ve inspired them or moved them to tears it bring me joy knowing that they feel what i feel, and that we can connect on the fact of knowing we’re not alone in this world! There are so many people out there that have similar stories of what we’ve all gone through, and it’s what drives me to share mine! It brings me comfort knowing that I can connect with my audience that way because music moves us. Frequency moves us. And it’s so rewarding to be able to share the beauty of that with others.
