Hi Tess, thanks for joining us today. Can you open up about a risk you’ve taken – what it was like taking that risk, why you took the risk and how it turned out?

Throughout my life, I have wholeheartedly embraced countless risks, particularly in my career. This is why the fool card in tarot resonates with me so deeply—it embodies the exhilarating anticipation of standing on the edge, contemplating the risks before taking the leap. The journey of my business, Spellbinding, started six years ago. At that time, I embarked upon this adventure with no clear foresight of its outcome or destination. I was driven by my unwavering passion.

However, my most recent venture involved yet another leap. I made the decision to relinquish a significant portion of my business, freeing myself from the production and sale of products. Instead, I have wholeheartedly redirected my focus toward rendering services such as tarot readings, spiritual coaching, business coaching, and social media management. The sense of fulfillment I derive from assisting others surpasses what I ever experienced while creating intentional products. Thus, I realized that the time had come for a transformative transition.

Change and risk-taking hold a special place in my heart. I firmly believe that unless we venture beyond the confines of our comfort zones, stagnation will perpetuate relentlessly. By embracing new opportunities and boldly venturing into the unknown, we unlock the potential for growth, personally and professionally.

Hello, I’m Tess, and my journey into the spiritual industry began with Spellbinding. Fascinated by essential oils and their benefits, I turned this passion into creating all-natural intentional products. As I delved deeper into the spiritual community, I found myself drawn to offering tarot readings both online and in-person. Connecting with others on a personal level ignited a love for helping them explore tarot and spirituality. This led me to launch Everyday Witch The Podcast and host transformative workshops.

Over the years, as my business thrived and gained a strong online following, people naturally turned to me for advice and mentorship. Recognizing the struggles and challenges of entrepreneurship, I felt compelled to offer coaching and social media management services. Recently, I introduced a retreat, creating a nurturing space for healing and further connection.

What truly fills my heart with pride is witnessing others flourish as they realize their potential with a little support and guidance. My coaching approach is anchored in realism and tailored to individual needs, always taking into account the unique circumstances of each person.

How’d you build such a strong reputation within your market?

I credit my success in the spiritual industry to my steadfast commitment to consistency, intentionality, and authenticity. I firmly believe that these qualities have been instrumental in establishing my solid reputation. One invaluable lesson I’ve learned is the significance of showing up, both online and in person, without fail. Even if there are few customers initially, consistently putting oneself out there increases the chances of catching the attention of others.

Intentionality is another vital aspect that I hold dear. It is crucial to have unwavering faith in what one is doing and the products they are offering. By wholeheartedly believing in our endeavors, we inspire trust in potential clients or customers. After all, if we don’t have confidence in our own offerings, how can we expect others to? Authenticity, particularly in the digital realm, has proven to be an indispensable asset. When people can resonate with us personally, it fosters a sense of familiarity and comfort that extends to our businesses.

Putting training and knowledge aside, what else do you think really matters in terms of succeeding in your field?

One of the most invaluable tips I have for achieving success is to embrace the power of asking for help and being unafraid to ask for anything in general. Whether it’s seeking collaboration with others, desiring to be featured on a podcast, aspiring to start your own podcast, seeking endorsement from an influencer, or striving to get your products displayed in stores, it all starts with taking that important first step of reaching out and making the ask. I understand that many individuals find themselves hesitating at this stage, particularly when it involves initiating contact with strangers. However, it’s essential to remember that the worst response you can receive is a “no”, while not asking at all only hinders the growth of your business. So why not take that chance and ask?
