Alright, Tesha thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. Let’s start with the story of your mission. What should we know?

As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?

In 2015, I started natural hair journey in the form of locs for spiritual reasons. I wanted to be closer to myself , my roots and what i felt was the best parts of me. On my search for pure and plant-based haircare , I found nothing! Every hair supply store had hair products filled with toxic unhealthy ingredients that stagnant the follicles and damaged the scalp and hair more than heal. By early 2017 i begin studying herbs , hair growth oils and practicing on my locs. At the beginning of 2018 I began sharing my gifts of haircare essentials with the world. With becoming a Master Herbalist and getting my Ayurvedic Haircare and Skincare certification of completion I knew what was needed in the community from me. There’s no reason we all can’t HAVE long amazing hair.

How did you build your audience on social media?

I would posted ALL The TIME lol like 10 times a day. This was wayyyy back before alot of ppl were starting pages and businesses. If the ppl know your going to bring it and be consistent they will FOLLOW you. I take more mental breaks now but before I slaved for my brand on FB before I solely crossed over to IG cause that’s where us millennials are.

What’s been the most effective strategy for growing your clientele?

Getting out there in the community and being seen ….. being personable! I started off wanting to only be a online business but I wasn’t connecting with the ppl. I wasn’t getting any sales or anything. Even though my haircare essentials are so amazing no one would know about them had i just stayed behind my computer. I changed up my strategy and began having brunch with Queens I met on IG , doing Pop up Shops around Vegas and making flyers and passing them out the old school way.
