We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Terrysha Harris. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Terrysha below.
Alright, Terrysha thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. What do you think matters most in terms of achieving success?
To be successful in the skincare industry, it takes strategy, resilience, and creativity. After spending 5 years researching and working in this field, one thing I’ve realized is that as you grow, you’re always learning. Even when you think you know it all, there’s always something new to discover. The industry is always evolving, and staying open to learning is key to moving forward.
It took years for the creators of soap to fully understand the science behind it, but they learned through trial and error. we learn and improve over time, often through unexpected experiences.

As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?
My ambitions stretch far back in 2020, just before my 18th birthday, when I decided to create my skincare brand, Ryshaa Skin. My main goal was to help consumers struggling with hair growth and dry scalp while offering natural, plant-based solutions. Since then, the brand has been growing steadily.
Now, I’m taking it further. Ryshaa Skin is evolving beyond just a skincare brand. I’m rebranding to include a wider range of natural products, such as cleansing soaps and facial oils. This rebranding reflects my passion for skincare and my obsession with achieving flawless skin, while staying true to my commitment to natural ingredients.

Any insights you can share with us about how you built up your social media presence?
Building my audience on social media didn’t happen overnight, it was a mix of creativity, consistency, and a lot of collaboration. I kicked things off with giveaways, offering my products for free and asking people to follow, tag friends, and share their skincare routines. It got people excited, and I saw my followers grow pretty quickly.
I teamed up with other small businesses in different skincare fields to make it more fun and cooperative. Collaborating on posts and even joint products helped both of us reach new audiences with our consumers.
The more thrilling part of this journey was the pop-up shops and flea markets. I had big companies reaching out to me about doing a pop at their brand events to meet new consumers and explore the entrepreneur field.
Through giveaways, collaborations, and pop-up events, I was able to build a loyal, engaged community. It wasn’t just about growing numbers, it was about making real connections along the way.

How’d you build such a strong reputation within your market?
Product reviews, the rapid response i received because of the constant posted reviews from my consumers brought a huge impact on my business reputation. sometimes all i takes is one post from a consumer and people are intrested.
