We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Terri Matthews. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Terri below.
Alright, Terri thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. Let’s kick things off with your mission – what is it and what’s the story behind why it’s your mission?
My mission extends beyond simply informing—I am committed to transformation. My journey as a servant leader is not just about building businesses; it’s about building people. Whether through ownership, consulting, or leadership, these are merely vehicles to fulfill a greater purpose: helping individuals discover, develop, and walk in their God-given potential.
One of the guiding principles in my life is my personal mission statement:
“Don’t grow weary doing good things.”
This statement is rooted in my faith and my belief that impact takes endurance. In business, leadership, and service, challenges will come—but staying committed to doing what is right, uplifting others, and leading with integrity will always bear fruit. I’ve learned that purpose is not about ease, but about endurance, and that is why I remain steadfast in my mission to empower others.
I believe that business, when approached with mission-driven intentionality, has the power to change lives—not just for those who lead, but for every person impacted by the organization. My role is to equip and empower those who operate businesses, whether I own them or consult for them, so they can lead with integrity, faith, and purpose.
This mission is meaningful to me because people matter more than profit. Business should not only serve the market but also serve the people within it—employees, customers, and communities. I’ve seen firsthand how clarity of purpose fuels growth, and my passion is to guide others toward creating organizations that thrive both financially and in impact.
If you’re a mission-driven company, I’d love to connect and hear the heart behind your work. Let’s build something that doesn’t just succeed in business but transforms lives in the process.

Meet Terri Matthews: A Servant Leader Building Bridges Through Business
I was built out of adversity, which gave me the resilience I needed for the journey ahead. I never imagined I would become an entrepreneur or that I would have the opportunity to impact the lives of others in such a profound way. My life has been transformed not by what I have accumulated but by what I have given—my time, my talent, and my resources.
I didn’t start out with grand dreams of owning multiple businesses although it happened.. My purpose has always been bigger than that. I got into business because I had a vision of creating opportunities and access—not just for myself but for my kids, my family, and others who didn’t have the same chances I did. I believe in building bridges that connect people to resources, knowledge, and transformation.
What I Do & How I Serve
I specialize in solving organizational infrastructure problems, focusing on people, processes, and business operations. Whether it’s a tech company, a healthcare business, or a clothing line, at the core of every organization is people—and they are the most valuable asset a business has. My work doesn’t stop at fixing external structures; sometimes, there’s inner work that has to be done—helping people develop mindset shifts, leadership skills, and faith-based clarity in their calling.
Through FaithMADE Consulting, I provide strategic business solutions that help leaders and entrepreneurs build, scale, and sustain impactful businesses. Whether I am an owner, consultant, or investor, the goal is the same—helping others walk in their God-given potential while building businesses that don’t just generate profit but create lasting transformation.
What Sets Me Apart
People Over Profit – While financial success is important, my focus is always on building people first. A thriving business is a byproduct of healthy leadership, clear vision, and well-structured processes.
Faith & Business Integration – I help leaders operate in their calling with excellence, merging faith and strategy to create impact-driven organizations.
Real-World Experience – I have built and consulted for multiple businesses across different industries, proving that my approach is scalable and adaptable.
Servant Leadership – My leadership philosophy is rooted in service. I don’t just inform; I create transformation by guiding others through mentorship, consulting, and coaching.
What I Am Most Proud Of
I am most proud of the lives I’ve impacted—the people I’ve helped build confidence, structure, and success in their businesses and personal lives. Whether through FaithMADE, consulting, speaking, or mentorship, seeing others thrive, step into their purpose, and achieve things they never thought possible is the most rewarding part of my journey.
What I Want You to Know
I am a builder. Whether it’s businesses, people, or faith-based communities, I am passionate about creating sustainable impact.
My purpose is to empower. I want people to see themselves as God sees them, walking boldly in their gifts and callings.
I don’t grow weary doing good. Business is just a vehicle—the real work is in transformation.
If you’re a leader, entrepreneur, or organization looking to scale with purpose, I’d love to connect and help you build something that doesn’t just succeed but leaves a lasting legacy.
We often hear about learning lessons – but just as important is unlearning lessons. Have you ever had to unlearn a lesson?
When I first stepped into entrepreneurship, I thought I had to be great at everything—that I needed to know every detail of my business inside and out. I believed success meant mastering every role, understanding every nuance, and being the go-to expert in every aspect of my company. What I didn’t realize at the time was that this mindset was holding me back.
The truth was, I had no idea what an entrepreneur really was or what they actually did. I didn’t grow up with a blueprint for success, and I had no model to follow. For me, entrepreneurship was about survival—building something that could create opportunities for my family and others. I worked tirelessly, trying to do it all on my own, thinking that my value as a leader was tied to how much I personally knew and could handle.
But over time, I learned a powerful lesson: I don’t have to know everything—I just need to be informed and trust the right people. Success isn’t about having all the answers; it’s about hiring and empowering the right talent. I had to let go of control and learn that owning a company doesn’t mean I have to own all the knowledge.
Today, I define success differently. Success is not about knowing everything—it’s about operating in my purpose. It’s about leading, casting vision, and trusting the gifts of others to help bring that vision to life. The moment I stopped trying to be the expert in everything and started trusting the expertise of others, my businesses and my leadership flourished.
Looking back, I’m grateful for this lesson. It freed me from unnecessary pressure and allowed me to focus on what truly matters—building, leading, and transforming.
Can you tell us about a time you’ve had to pivot?
I once kept a company simply because I knew I could make it work and turn a profit. On paper, it was successful, but something was missing—it wasn’t my passion. I realized that just because a business is profitable doesn’t mean it’s aligned with my purpose.
I had to make a hard decision to pivot and adjust my focus. Money should never be the goal—it should be the result of operating in your purpose and passion. That shift in mindset changed everything for me. It allowed me to step into work that fuels me, where impact and fulfillment drive success, not just financial gain.
That pivot wasn’t just about business—it was about realigning with what I was truly called to do. And that has made all the difference.
