Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Terrez Toyer. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Hi Terrez , thanks for joining us today. When did you first know you wanted to pursue a creative/artistic path professionally?
I’ve known I was a creative since a kid. I dabbled in different mediums of art over my years but I never expected to be a full time artist. Growing up I use to draw and do music as a hobby, but football was my dream. I got back in to art from my brother and a friend telling me to start tattooing
Terrez , before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?
So I’d have to give credit to my boy @LyricTheArtist for how I got into the industry. My brother was the first to tell me I should start tattooing but lyric was the one who made it make sense. Being an athlete, I had the discipline and work ethic to stick with it once I started. Learning the business side would be the biggest uphill battle. As far as what I offer, I’d sum it up to a creative experience. From the art on the walls to the whole tattooing process. Proud of what I accomplished so far being self taught and no real artistic background. To my existing and me clients that’s on the way. I would say just stay tuned for what’s to come. Everyday I’m personally aiming for bigger and better for myself and my tribe.
What do you find most rewarding about being a creative?
The freedom that comes with it
Is there a particular goal or mission driving your creative journey?
Personal goals definitely motivate me but I think the biggest thing I want to push for the brand is that’s you get in what you put out. I’m not religious but Faith Without Works is Dead.
