We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Terrell Fure’ a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.
Terrell, looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. We’d love to hear about when you first realized that you wanted to pursue a creative path professionally.
I always knew but I really realized I was going to make music professionally a few years back when the ancestors came in my dream and whispered “Do your music”. It was thanksgiving weekend I was out of town visiting family.

Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.
My name is Terrell Fure’ I am a Black American dancehall reggae artist/Songwriter. I grew up in between Long Island, Queens, and Brooklyn NY. I got into the music industry officially by a well respected producer/songwriter/composer named Gareth Hunter. Who is also one of the most talented, intelligent, and good hearted person I ever met in the music industry. The service and creative works I provide are writing, recording, selling, and performing music. What sets me apart from others is my distinctive voice, song concepts, beat selection, having a good ear for music, and I’m a Black American so I don’t have your typical Jamaican swag so I tend to stand out. I’m most proud of being a great song writer and having a good ear for music. Not everyone can say that. I have a gift. What I would like potential followers and fans to know about me is that you will get your time and money’s worth. I’ve always believed in as long as you perfect the craft the money will come. I’m your favorite artist favorite artist and favorite songwriter.
What’s a lesson you had to unlearn and what’s the backstory?
The lesson I had to unlearn was that everyone is not out to harm you or take advantage of you the business. They’re some good people still in the entertainment industry. It maybe very few or you can count them only on one hand. 😂 But the point is they do exist. 🤣 How many back stories would you like? 🤣 I have quite a few 🤣 No just working with shady producers, shady recording studio engineer’s, trying hold your music, steal it, and also steal your ideas. Dealing with a shady manager. Money will make some people do crazy things. With all of that being said you can’t give up. You have to chuck it up as a learning experience and keep going.

What do you find most rewarding about being a creative?
Having the ability to do what you love to do and still make a living. It’s like you’re working but not working if that makes sense.
