We recently connected with Terrell Daron (DAY-RON) and have shared our conversation below.
Hi Terrell, thanks for joining us today. So let’s jump to your mission – what’s the backstory behind how you developed the mission that drives your brand?
The mission behind my company is to provide individuals with similar backgrounds as me the opportunity to be successful. In practice, this is educating those who are interested with the knowledge of how to create digital media. I’m currently starting a series where I’ll be providing behind the scenes content of certain projects for some of my favorite local creators who also happen to be my friends. This is actually to provide marketing content for he creators as well as to educate the youth on how to create projects.
As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?
I have been interested in film, media, entertainment, marketing, and music since my youth. I decided early in my life that I wanted to be involved in that space and over time I started to focus more on the behind-the-scenes aspect of that craft. I have directing, shooting, and editing projects since high school. Typically if a client comes to me with a vision, I’m able to consult and tell them the process of bringing that vision to life or assist them in developing a plan that will ultimately help propel their endeavors.
Is there a particular goal or mission driving your creative journey?
The main goal is to create great pieces of art that highlight the complexity in the beauty of black culture and culture in general.
What do you find most rewarding about being a creative?
The most rewarding aspect is the collaboration that comes in crafting the vision. Engaging in conversation with like-minded individuals who actually believe in your project and want to assist in bringing it to life is fulfilling.
