We recently connected with Terrance Williams and have shared our conversation below.

Terrance, appreciate you joining us today. Was there a defining moment in your professional career? A moment that changed the trajectory of your career?

My defining moment was 10 years ago when I was feeding the homeless. I met a man named Quincy. Quincy had been homeless for two years, and he told me about his struggles with mental health that led him to be homeless. It was at that moment that I decided that I was going to figure out a way to help people that are struggling with mental health.

Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers.

My company Meta Wellness creates virtual reality platforms for mental health, professionals, life, coaches, nonprofits, and universities. We have built over 100 different platforms and I worked with some amazing people and are super excited to see what the future holds.

How’d you build such a strong reputation within your market?

First reality has become more popular through the years and so has the conversation of mental health. Combining the two has made me stand out from other professions that deal with technology or mental health. I have also been on several podcast and I will be doing my first Ted talk in September so worried about him. He has gone around pretty quickly and it’s been a truly humbling experience.

We’d love to hear a story of resilience from your journey.

Last year, a mother reached out to me because her son was battling anorexia. I created a virtual simulation that was a replica of her kitchen, and in the kitchen, I created a burger, so the sign was able to pick up the burger and assimilation, and was able to take bites out of it, and it helped him get used to eating food again. After three months of being in a simulation, her son had conquered his battle with anorexia.
