We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Terrance Bennett a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.
Terrance, looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. It’s always helpful to hear about times when someone’s had to take a risk – how did they think through the decision, why did they take the risk, and what ended up happening. We’d love to hear about a risk you’ve taken.
One of my biggest risk I’ve ever taken was moving to New Orleans Louisiana by myself. I didn’t have any family, friends or anybody that I knew in close proximity, but I made a lot of great strides moving here. But being a guy that was born & raised in Troy Alabama (The country) to The Big Easy was major for me in many ways. I built some great relationships, made a name for myself still building my brand T-ENT SPORTS and met my wife here, so yea it was worth the risk.

As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?
My name is Terrance Bennett but mostly everyone calls me T, I’m 34 years born in Troy Alabama but now resides in New Orleans LA (The Big Easy) , I have my on sports podcast T-ENT SPORTS PODCAST. I’m a big New Orleans Saints and Pelicans fan. But to answer your question how I got into podcasting , I got into it because I was writing all my interviews on Facebook and I wanted to get into sports radio so I would listen sports radio shows and sports podcast then a lightbulb came on and that’s how starting my own podcast came into play.
Are there any books, videos, essays or other resources that have significantly impacted your management and entrepreneurial thinking and philosophy?
Oh yeah absolutely I read one of my favorite rappers Rick Ross book, The Perfect Day To Boss Up. It had a lot of insight on just trying to tackle specific goals that you have for yourself no matter what it is, for me unit was like a blueprint to success, I would recommend anybody to read that book I read it twice and plan on reading it again.

Is there mission driving your creative journey?
My goal for me and my podcasting brand is to build financial freedom & generational wealth doing something I love doing. Honestly who wouldn’t love to talk sports, interview your favorite athletes, rappers, actors etc because everybody has a take on sports. So why not get paid to do something like that in my eyes that’s a major blessing, and it’s not work if it’s something you love.
