We recently connected with Terran Eaton and have shared our conversation below.
Terran , appreciate you joining us today. What’s been the most meaningful project you’ve worked on?
The struggle, in December I shot a project that was extremely difficult to shoot due to it being a bit congruent to my life. I knew my life had been tumultuous in a lot of senses because of moving, bad connections, and betrayal. But after shooting the project I realized that it is a blessing to be in good counsel. I lost a friendships, family members, and even someone I thought had my back betrayed me. But thanks to my Mom and sister and an amazing job Flavor Hills for getting me back to being me. Along with God for aligning an amazing cast to fulfill my passion project. Jay Bethea has been a counselor, prayer for me, in some difficult times. Along with my mother constantly encouraging me never letting me give up.

Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers.
Hey I’m Terran Eaton, an actor and producer in the Raleigh area. As my hobbies I occasionally Dj and content create on social media. It’s fun to able to fulfill my vision in film but I prefer to take on other directors visions and embody a character on screen.

We often hear about learning lessons – but just as important is unlearning lessons. Have you ever had to unlearn a lesson?
The biggest lesson in this season that I am learning is to love yourself and love the craft. Maintaining the craft is hard and takes will power but alternatively being able to move towards the craft only happens if self love happens. I am no good to acting if I am terrible to myself.

Do you think there is something that non-creatives might struggle to understand about your journey as a creative? Maybe you can shed some light?
I wear my feelings. As an actor every heart break, traumatic event, triumph, victory molds a story for a character to be played. I’ve been cheated on, dumped, lied to, abandoned but use those experiences to relate to my character. In the Struggle I played a character that was abandoned and I pulled from past experiences. Alternatively if I am happy, joyous, or ecstatic it’s easy to pull from also. All emotion and experiences funnel better acting.
