Hi Terran , thanks for joining us today. Let’s start with the story of your mission. What should we know?
I started acting because my father saw something in me that I didn’t see in myself. He saw my gift of entertaining and before acting it was dancing and comedy, but my father helped cultivate it. For years he put his best efforts to place me in agencies, classes, in front of amazing people. In one of the efforts I was in the room with former stars and meeting “Thelma” from “Goodtimes”. Before long I ran with dream he planted and he passed away loving my perseverance and me in general for trusting him.
Terran , love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
I started acting in a more serious sense in middle school at 12 taking advanced acting in middle school. From there it was okay after play and church plays where I’d try various new roles. This led me to college where I performed at the black theatre festival, got a chance to try out for high level programs, cultivated my gift. In 2022 I then went to the British American Drama Academy and from there the fire for film was forever lit.
We’d love to hear a story of resilience from your journey.
I’m 2015 I suffered homelessness, it lasted for months. I stayed in different hotels and gave up on my dream. Until an angel or sign met me and made me go after my dream. I was later prophesied to about my dreams and from then on I could never quit.
What’s a lesson you had to unlearn and what’s the backstory?
Being on set, is accepting your directors direction. That’s relatively true however there are indirect ways non verbal ways to stand your ground. Honoring your word, your ethics, and more importantly honoring God is worth losing a gig. But above all else honor God and have fun, get out of your own way.
