We were lucky to catch up with Teri Moore recently and have shared our conversation below.
Teri, appreciate you joining us today. Let’s kick things off with your mission – what is it and what’s the story behind why it’s your mission?
My mission is simple to meet and help people keep their business and homes tidy. Taking the stress of cleaning out if their daily thoughts. I hope to be able to employ as many individuals as possible in the near future.
As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?
My name is Teri I’m the proud founder & owner of My Cleaning Bees, started in 2019 and still going strong. The cleaning actually started with my full time job, I was a project manager the company renovated multi family apartments. At the end of each renovation we were responsible for post construction cleaning, I struggled with keeping a cleaning staff so I strayed doing them myself. In 2020 I list my job due to the pandemic with not many options and bills stacking up I decided to launch my own cleaning business. I would like to say it’s been easy but it has not I have cried more than I have laughed. But through it all the business is still here and I predict it will grow so that I can begin to put an awesome staff together. Prayers and my family have been instrumental in me still being in business because there have been many days I wanted to quit. I’m truly grateful to be invited into my clients homes & business to keep tidy.
What’s been the best source of new clients for you?
I have to say most of my new clients were referred by existing clients. I’m grateful to have such amazing clients they really look out for me. Even though don’t have a lot of clients the ones I have are there for me and have been loyal. Word of mouth (referrals) are the best!
Can you talk to us about how your funded your business?
Believe it or not I started with very little money only my unemployment checks and my personal household cleaning supplies. It was hard and money was tight but I made it work, and now I I’m able to purchase industrial cleaning supplies.
