We recently connected with Teresa Robinson and have shared our conversation below.
Hi Teresa, thanks for joining us today. Naming anything – including a business – is so hard. Right? What’s the story behind how you came up with the name of your brand?
The name Soul Appeal Wellness came from my personal journey with health, fitness, and self-discovery. I’ve been passionate about wellness since adolescence, and that passion carried me into adulthood as a fitness coach for several years. But it wasn’t until I went through a really difficult time in my own life that I fully understood the deeper layers of wellness—not just the physical, but the mental and emotional as well. That’s what led me to become a yoga teacher, with the goal of helping others who may be struggling.
Through my experiences, I’ve learned that wellness isn’t one-size-fits-all. It’s not about following rigid rules but about tuning into yourself and doing what truly feels right for you in each moment. To me, that’s what real wellness is—finding what appeals to your soul and embracing that. That’s how Soul Appeal Wellness was born. It’s a space where people can explore different aspects of well-being, whether through movement, mindfulness, or self-care, and discover what truly resonates with them.

Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers.
Absolutely! My name is Teresa Robinson, and I’m the founder of Soul Appeal Wellness. My journey into the wellness space began in my adolescence when I first developed a passion for health and fitness. That passion carried me into adulthood, leading me to work as a fitness coach for several years. However, it was during one of the most challenging periods of my life that I truly deepened my understanding of wellness—beyond just physical fitness. Seeking healing, I turned to yoga, meditation, and holistic self-care, which not only transformed my own life but also ignited a desire to help others on their own wellness journeys. That’s what led me to become a certified yoga and meditation teacher and, ultimately, create Soul Appeal Wellness.
At Soul Appeal Wellness, I offer a variety of services and products designed to support holistic well-being. This includes yoga and meditation classes, reiki healing, corporate wellness programs, and a growing line of handmade skincare products infused with natural, nourishing ingredients. I also provide a library of prerecorded yoga classes through my membership platform, allowing people to practice on their own schedule. My goal is to make wellness accessible, empowering individuals to explore different paths to healing and self-care in a way that feels right for them.
What sets Soul Appeal Wellness apart is the belief that wellness isn’t a one-size-fits-all journey. I encourage people to tune into themselves, embrace where they are in the present moment, and find what truly appeals to their soul—whether that’s movement, mindfulness, energy healing, or nurturing their body with clean, intentional products.
I’m most proud of the community I’m building—one that supports people in feeling seen, supported, and inspired to prioritize their well-being in a way that’s sustainable and fulfilling. More than anything, I want my clients, followers, and fans to know that Soul Appeal Wellness is here to support them in discovering their own version of wellness, free from judgment or expectation. It’s about finding balance, joy, and peace in a way that feels authentic to them.

How about pivoting – can you share the story of a time you’ve had to pivot?
Right now, I’m living in the middle of a pivot—one that wasn’t by choice but has become an opportunity for growth. For 19 years, I worked in the hearing care industry, spending the last 12.5 years with the same employer. Then, in October of last year, I was laid off. It was an unexpected and difficult transition, but it also forced me to take a hard look at what I truly wanted.
I started Soul Appeal Wellness back in 2018, but because I was working full-time, I never had the time or energy to pour into it the way I wanted. It was always something I was passionate about, but it remained in the background. With this recent shift, I made the decision to go all in—to fully commit to building and growing Soul Appeal Wellness into the thriving business I know it can be.
This pivot has been both exciting and challenging. I’m learning in real time what it means to run and grow a business, to trust myself, and to embrace uncertainty with confidence. While the change wasn’t something I planned, I believe it’s leading me exactly where I’m meant to be. Soul Appeal Wellness isn’t just a business; it’s a reflection of my passion, purpose, and desire to help others on their own wellness journeys.
I’m still figuring things out, but one thing I know for sure is that this moment is a gift. It’s a chance to fully step into what I love and create something meaningful—not just for myself, but for the community I’m building.

Can you share one of your favorite marketing or sales stories?
One of my favorite marketing stories—and one of my biggest lessons in pushing past fear—was when I was putting together my very first yoga event. I was incredibly nervous, even just thinking about scheduling it. First, I had to find a location, and I was apprehensive because I didn’t want to pay out of pocket for a space and then risk not having enough people show up to cover the costs. The fear of failure was real.
Then, a friend of mine introduced me to the owners of a brand-new art studio. She knew them personally and mentioned that I was a yoga teacher looking for a space for an event. Right there on the spot, I casually mentioned my interest in hosting something, and to my surprise, they offered to let me hold it in their studio using a revenue-sharing model—meaning no upfront costs for me. It was the perfect opportunity!
But even after securing the space, doubt still crept in. I kept hesitating to actually set a date. Then one day, while visiting the studio again, the owners brought it up and asked me directly, “So, when is the event happening?” In that moment, with no more room for hesitation, we looked at the calendar together, and I chose a date. It was official.
Once the date was locked in, I created a flyer and started promoting it on social media. I used Facebook marketing to help spread the word, and as the event got closer, I was a mix of emotions—nervous, scared, but also excited because we were already getting sign-ups.
The day of the event arrived, and I was blown away. We were at capacity. It was basically a sell-out! I couldn’t believe it—I had almost let my own doubt and anxiety stop me from moving forward, but instead, I took the leap, and it turned out to be a huge success. That experience taught me an invaluable lesson: sometimes, the only thing standing between you and success is your own fear. And the only way to overcome it is to take the next step, even if you’re scared.
