We recently connected with Teresa Page and have shared our conversation below.
Teresa, thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. Let’s talk legacy – what sort of legacy do you hope to build?
Defined as the long-lasting impact of particular events and actions that took place in the past, or of a person’s life, Legacy is an extremely strong word that I never considered until a couple of years ago. Triggered by the potential reality that I may not have children in this lifetime, it became important for me to leave something in the Earth with my name on it. Therefore, Legacy is one of the top reasons I began to author books! For over the years, I learned that words are not only creative, but they are eternal and alive in spirit, capable of going into regions I may never see.
As one of the social prophets of the age, I take comfort in knowing that the words I pen today captures the feeling and rhythm of our modern culture to be preserved, heard and read 1,000 years after I am gone. I take comfort in knowing that future generations will become acquainted with the Woman that I was…the Woman I am…and the Woman I always imagined to be. Fearless and Amazing! Saying the exact words I intended to say! Living the exact life I dreamed!
Through the collective work demonstrated in my books, conferences, coaching and public speaking, I hope generations to come will glean that Love is the most dominant, divine, intelligent, expressive, unwavering and living superpower available to the human family, who can be applied to all of our most intense realities so that we are empowered to succeed in everyday situations!

As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?
As the sixth of seven siblings born to my mother, Sarah, and my late father, William, I was born, raised and educated in rural North Carolina. Equipped with a bachelor’s and master’s degree in business administration and a graduate certificate in life coaching, I have served the public school, private university and federal government sectors in various educational support, campus leadership and business accounts capacities for the last 20 years.
During this timeframe, I became passionate about authoring books and supporting children, teenagers, college students, educators and leaders in becoming their best selves via personal, professional and leadership development. After undergoing years of purpose development myself, I stepped into my new assignment with Teresa K. Page, LLC in February 2021 as an emerging author, speaker, coach, and podcaster led with a mission to employ Love as the ultimate success factor to renew Women’s leadership mindset with fresh fire and purpose!
With an unique belief that Love is a gamechanger that gives us a competitive edge to be powerful in leadership; innovative in business; fully present for our teams and stakeholders; knowledgeable in industry trends and benevolent in our community service, my company utilizes impactful content, programs, and services that inspires, motivates and equips Women to:
• Re-energize the leader Love has always known them to be.
• Realize their unfulfilled goals by designing action plans to create opportunities, ventures and careers of high value.
• Commit to influence the next generation of 21st century leaders.
As I continue to evolve, I recently encountered a few realizations that has altered the way I want to do business. The first was learning that systematic inequities that exist in some organization’s culture, processes, procedures, goods, services, talent and customer service is a direct personification of its leadership. The second was being told, after publishing my third book, that I was not a big enough name to host book readings in major bookstores. The third was being told that I, as a faith-based author and entrepreneur, would not be welcomed in corporate spaces even if the principles I share are designed to be universally applicable in our modern business models regardless of type or industry.
Though these encounters of resistance were huge rude awakenings for me, they taught me that:
• Leaders must first be convinced of their own greatness before we can effectively serve the world with our goods and services.
• Leadership is not a choice or privilege for some, but a birthright and mandate for the entire human family.
• Leadership is not something we do or dictate but is an expressed demonstration of Love towards those that choose to bask in our light.
For this cause, I have repurposed my vision to become a trusted business to business resource to support faith, professional, leadership and non-profit organizations in meeting their:
• Leadership Development Objectives via my “Love the Success Factor Women’s” Leadership Conference and Motivational Speaking.
• Team Building Goals via my solution-focused Group Coaching Retreats.
• Brand Marketing Efforts through featured guest interviews via my “Women’s Leadership Mindset Series Podcast”.
• B2B Wholesale Buying Solutions via my Author’s Corner online store featuring the “My Journey to Wholeness” book series and gift collection.
• Brand Awareness Initiatives to boost organization’s presence within their local & virtual communities via Event Partner Sponsorships.
Embracing an open world approach, it is my desire to be forever positioned to champion Women’s upward mobility to influence our communities, marketplace, and global economy!

What’s a lesson you had to unlearn and what’s the backstory?
One of the lessons that I had to unlearn was the notion that family, friends, colleagues and networks would automatically buy my books; attend my conferences; be featured guests on my podcast; refer me to their networks for coaching or public speaking.
While a few of my siblings, friends and colleagues supported me and invested in my goods, services or events, the overall conclusion that I had to digest is that it is possible that those that I know, and that know me, may not be my target market. Though all that I created and released into the marketplace was designed with professional Women of faith in mind, I am learning my market may also include Men, international markets and those that have different belief systems, nationalities, upbringing and the like.
The key to moving forward is embracing the unexpected market that has need of my offerings; having the agility to pivot; broadening my scope of service and having a willingness to let go of what I imagined to receive the beautiful reality of what is.

We’d love to hear the story of how you built up your social media audience?
Though I started my business in February of 2021, I did not determine to take my business to the next level until that Fall. It was then that I connected with Digital Marketing Specialist Namita Kabilas.
Having engaged at a virtual networking event, I received a LinkedIn invite from her that I did not accept right away. Upon accepting, I wrote her a note indicating that I wanted to learn more about her services and if this was something that was both doable and affordable.
Contracting her services was the best thing I could do at the onslaught; for she required that I identify my primary target customers, any known competitors, areas of opportunity, influencers of inspiration to collaborate/partner and so much more.
Working with Namita over a period of time helped me to:
• Network in the right rooms.
• Become an actual content creator capable of crafting appealing and succinct messages with a particular call to action.
• Position myself as a trusted thought leader with a certain level of knowledge and expertise.
• Engage with new audiences by partnering with fellow online entrepreneurs, authors, coaches and the like.
• Increase my online following by more than 100% and still growing.
For those that are starting out, having a strong online presence to build your business is a necessity in this digital age. I would encourage you to contract a professional that:
• You can trust, afford and are willing to accept their feedback/guidance.
• Can capture and articulate your vision in a way that aligns with your personality and voice.
• Wants to see you succeed just as much as you do.
• Is reasonably accessible and has a reasonable response time.
• Can take you to the next level to scale.
