We recently connected with TERESA HERBIC and have shared our conversation below.
TERESA, appreciate you joining us today. Can you talk to us about a project that’s meant a lot to you?
When you are trying to decide which way to go in your career at an early stage—and even for those in mid-career, you may be thinking about transitioning and wondering—what’s next?
How do you extend your marketing message and produce trusting business relationships to the best of your ability with the right clients, partners, and teams while growing and thriving together?
For me, I gained insight from a meaningful project that involved connecting the pieces of the puzzle from Marketing and Advertising to the functionality of Sales, Operations, Public Relations, and other partners serving together for solid market performance of all products, services, and platforms.
Realization about the Power of Networking
I served early as an assistant sports editor for the newspaper, an ad and scriptwriter for television, and a public relations, communications, and media relations person who began heavily into Journalism, I quickly realized, there’s power in networking and multi-marketing.
Whether you’re writing and editing digital content and working with a team to produce social media and blog articles or you’re working with Product Development and Sales teams to roll out new products and services—there’s a significant impact when you work with the right stakeholders step by step to build and grow a brand.
As a global-thinking marketer ready to impact every single client from the ground up, I can tell you that this doesn’t happen overnight. I understand and embrace the process because of valuable lessons.
Empowering Global Leaders
Early on, I worked on a Marketing and Public Relations project with two other colleagues putting together a comprehensive brand and media kit for a well-established but “seeking” business in Missouri.
We were asked to write a press release, create a pitch kit, develop product marketing profiles, and design a logo or hire someone to create a brand image for this client. One team member was totally into the project as I was, and the other was not interested in contributing whatsoever. Such as life, right?
For the two of us who cared and crafted our strategy, writing, and marketing planning came naturally. We intentionally conducted an inventory to understand the brand from the inside out. Yet, for the design bit, we needed to outsource.
I could think of no better artist or creator than my Mom to tackle this piece. She could draw and create anything. So, she designed the logo. And the fact that this is a trucking business amazed me because my Dad was an operations service manager for a large trucking company in Kansas City. The puzzle all came together.
An Integral Lesson
Marketing, I’ve found, is so much more than just one team creating ideas. You have to work with key stakeholders to develop a brand program that will effectively reach your target audiences. It’s not just ideation! I’ve joined many projects where the teams are full of ideas but no action.
You can’t just talk about strategy all day long and not flesh it out. That’s where I’ve determined, my contribution has to be different. You have to be not only an idea person with a strategy, but also a team contributor, leader, follower, and implementer.
Celebrating the Wins
The winning project selected by this business would be implemented by their team. Our campaign was chosen. We were thrilled as it felt like we were set for the market.
Fast forward to this day, there are still trucks for this business driving around with my Mom’s logo and our marketing and ad theme.
They are now a $600 million company! Reminds me every time I take a road trip from Texas to Missouri, and I see multiple trucks along the way, that God put me and my team members on this planet for a reason.
It represents a solid glimpse into where I was heading. I had to embrace that project to step into the future.
TERESA, before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?
Being a multi-marketing freelance consultant—offering support on a comprehensive scale—has been my largest mountain to climb but a journey I wouldn’t change as it has built much more than effective content strategies—it’s instilled unshakable content of character. It has involved years of time, talent, resources, treasures, and transformation.
I’m only human and to me, success is essential, and talents and evolving skills are a gift of God. Having the faith to pursue them means stepping up to serve every single client with a fresh and relevant, SEO-optimized perspective, bringing to life brands as a Digital Global Brand Marketing and Strategist who understands every part of the puzzle from research and strategy to beta testing, implementation, sales, and solid growth.

As a Freelance Consultant, extending reach to global audiences is my expertise as many of my stakeholders refer to me as “The Connector.” I hit the ground running with projects without all the necessary ramp-up, onboarding time.

Global Marketing Empowerment
I work with trusted partners and clients to create and extend an unbreakable strategy of impact, scaling, and growing clients by tapping not only my resources but others within my network.
I’ve worked with my Son Braxten, for years. He’s been an intern for one of the companies I’ve served, as well as a faithful business colleague and trusted partner. We’ve worked in film and television together.
For example, in the author, film, and television market as an agent and editor, we often work with authors to extend the message of their books and brand, representing very talented key clients such as:
SA Jewell in the book-to-script television series agent pitching and editing for “Solomon’s Concubine.” https://www.amazon.com/
Archie and Margaret Roy in the historical Biblical arena with “King Solomon’s Empire: The Rise, Fall, and Modern-Day Influence of an Iron-Age.” https://www.amazon.com/King-Solomons-Empire-Modern-Day-Influence/dp/164960341X
Is there mission driving your creative journey?
Faith, Family, and a Driven Personal Mission
Part of the nurturing of relationships involves giving back to greater causes. For me, that ongoing cause has been child welfare, adoption, foster, and orphan care, as well as pet rescue.
My husband, Galen, and I along with other couples in our church and community started Families for Adoption nearly 20 years ago to aid those wanting to help children and pets in need. Through the project, we were able to help 550 families and needy children, as well as many orphanages, children’s homes, and pets.
Enjoying the Moments
We adopted our own children, Meyana, Braxten, and Nina—who now has a family of her own with Stas and children Pavel, Angelina, and Milana. It’s been the center of our hearts and our mission.
This thread of life’s quilting continues through my books which I have written about children’s compassion stories, adoption and foster care support, family prayer, and faith. It’s a greater calling and purpose beyond ourselves.
My books go to charity and provide resources for those in need of support, prayer, and understanding of the great love that God has for them.
Joyful Missions and Projects
The projects that I embrace are all a part of the joyful mission—whether it be authoring books, being an agent for a scriptwriter, marketing for global brands, helping with orchestra and family functions, interviewing people I’ve always wanted to know, praying with close friends, or tackling major milestones—it’s about the happiness you can bring to the situation, client, person, family, community, or team.
Global Alliances and Effective Implementation
I have global alliances all over the world that I network with, tap for ideas, and trust completely. I thrive on winning but most of all in helping others win and achieve their specific goals.
Can you share a story from your journey that illustrates your resilience?
I’m a very healthy, happy, blessed family, and faith-driven person. I’ve been honored all my life to have many friends, colleagues, family, and prayer family members who I love and appreciate.
I serve a Mighty God and believe in Jesus as my personal savior. It’s given me a peace that surpasses all understanding.
I’ve gone through some really tough times and have seen many miracles along the way—almost too many to mention if that is possible. But nothing is impossible with God, right?
Have you had those health struggles? I can relate! I experienced a golf ball-sized brain tumor and stage 3 breast cancer all within a short period. I had brain and breast surgery, and flat-lined for 35 minutes in the hospital, but, then, God healed me completely. I’ve also witnessed loved ones go through horrible life battles only to be healed after prayer perseverance.
Have you had those financial struggles? I can definitely understand! I’ve gone through job loss and gain, and others’ financial struggles as well.
I lost my dearest childhood friend who was adopted from Missouri Baptist Children’s Home a few years ago due to breast cancer.
Winning Moments
I’ve been on top of the world and in the lowest valley. But through it all, I realize that life is full of joy and blessings and so are our careers if only we focus on positivity, believe in the best of humanity, and never, ever give up.
We face our mission with the assurance that every client, every product, every service, and every partner involved can and will be successful.
For it’s that kind of faith that is unshakeable. Together, we are unshakeable—ready to work, share, serve, and connect—all for the greater good!
