Tera, before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?
My name is Tera Coughlin. I’m a wife, a mother of two and a Kansas City native. Right after attending college, I left the comforts of the Midwest and moved East. My heart called me to the fashion industry. I knew my business and love for style would grow exponentially in NYC. While there, I crossed paths with NYC-based accessories mogul R.J. Graziano and was offered the coveted position as his sales and PR director. It was at R.J. Graziano that I gained hands-on experience with design and production of jewelry, as well as styling photoshoots for editorial giants such as Vogue, InStyle, Cosmopolitan and People Magazine. In the midst of living my dream, I also met my husband. Planning to spend our lives together and start a family, we decided to return to my roots here in Kansas City. I chose to spend more time at home with my two children, but continued to style clients and organizing their personal space-THE CLOSET! Tera Coughlin Styling was born 5 years ago!
Tera Coughlin Styling puts life back into your closet and wardrobe.
I can help define your personal style and an organization process that aligns with your lifestyle. From Personal Styling to Closet Editing and Organization, I believe that every woman deserves to feel happy and you should have a sense of style that makes you feel your best.
What do you find most rewarding about being a creative?
For me, the mostly rewarding part of doing what I love is knowing the outcome of my projects and how my client will feel when it’s done! If I’m doing a complete closet edit, I know my clients will feel relieved on how their future daily routine will change from simply getting dressed to staying organized to wearing clothes they truly love tj saving time and essentially $ over time since we have precious discussed a plan to actually buy sensible. My goal is to build up confidence, build character, help women and men get dressed for their style and feel amazing when they walk out the door.

What’s been the best source of new clients for you?
The best source for me to gain clients is referrals! Instagram and a rebrand of my website recently has increased traffic but certainly word of mouth is my business drive.
