Teniecka, looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. So let’s jump to your mission – what’s the backstory behind how you developed the mission that drives your brand?

My mission has always been to share my faith in Jesus Christ to others. This mission entails utlizing my personal testimonies in my life to showcase how he has always been there. In the world today there is so much hatred and anger. When I listen or watch the news on the occasions that I d o. The world needs more love. I do my part to share inspiration and encouragement on my podcast. The podcast is called ” God’s Gift Through His Word.” This has been my mission and I continue to stay focused on sharing that gift.
The other way that I stay mission focused is by sharing my book which is now in audio form. The title of my book is “The Gift of Finding God’s love Guilt and Shame Turned into My Shine.” The book shares about me overcoming Domestic Violence while sharing encouragement and inspiration paired with poetry. It is quite important for me, due to many that experience Domestic Violence. That is why I continue to be so mission focused.

As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?

One of the problems I solve is helping women that have gone through Domestic Violence. I help them to get their confidence back. I help those women especially that want to go live or start their own podcast. After a person has experienced Domestic Violence hiding is easier. Helping women to remember who they are in Christ is so important. Reminding them that the abuse or truama they have faced does not define them. This can take a process but, I want them to be able to share their testimony. I understand because I was that woman who hid. I was that woman that had a message but, I was afraid to share anything. Those types of women I help to see they are
worthy, confident, and courageous.

The other problem I solve is helping those that are faith based that want to write a book. One of the issues in doing that is they do not think they have a book inside of them. The other part is staying consistent to create their manuscript. That is the hardest part after your manuscript is completed the publisher takes over from there. I want to help those to find their voice and use it whether in written, audio or visual form. They have a story that needs to be shared and they can do it!

How’d you meet your business partner?

I have shared about him many times. I never get tired of talking about him. Dr. James C. Sutton,II warmly known as Pastor J. in podcasting and social media. It is a unique story how I met him. I started my podcasting journey January 25,2018. Back when the podcasting platform Anchor was around. He found my podcast and he had sent me a voice message back when you could with a 1 minute time limit. He had asked about doing podcasting. I let him know he could do the same thing. During that time I helped him learn and do his own podcast. He started his journey February 2018. Since that time we have been creating shows together. He is also my business partner for the event(s) that I do. The very first event in California he was the sponsor and support for that event. I will be hosting my second annual event which will be a book launch and community organization event. He is the Sponsor for this event as well! I am super excited and thrilled. October 18, 2025 will be the date and it will be at the Maricopa Library. I am looking forward to it and Pastor J. will be coming and he will also be speaking. He has been my business partner since 2018. I am grateful and thankful for his support and belief in me.

For you, what’s the most rewarding aspect of being a creative?

I enjoy being a creative and utilizing everything I do to help others. My podcasting lends a voice to those who need to hear inspiration and encouragement. I give a space for Indie Artists to share their story about their journey. It is rewarding for me to know that some people have never been on a podcast. Offering them a place to get the word out about their music is rewarding. The best part is sharing my faith in Jesus Christ and giving a space for others to do the same. It feels so good to get messages whether by message on Spotify or YouTube. When I read how my messages have helped them it reminds me to keep going and do not stop. This also helps for some that say what value do you bring? The messages remind me of the value and for me to stay on my mission. There is amazing value in helping others to realize who they are.
