We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Teni Busari. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Teni below.
Teni, thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today What can you share with us about the story behind how you found your key vendors?
Finding a good and reliable vendor requires you to contact different vendors and requesting samples to test out the quality of the product then once I narrowed it down to my best three vendors, I compared quality, prices, and reliability of the vendor to pick my main vendor and also have a backup vendor just for any unfortunate event that could occur with the main vendor.

As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?
I am Teniayo of Ruth Philips Beauty I have always loved putting smiles on people’s faces, making them happy and going into the beauty/cosmetic industry has always been something I was interested in since I was young because beauty products does make people happy, enhance beauty, and boost confidence. In 2020, I had contemplated starting the business because of the fear of not being successful at it but my sweet best friend gave me the motivation I needed to start this journey and I am glad I did. For now we only provide eyelash extension but before the end of the year we will be launching a new product( be on the lookout ;) ). I would say that what sets Ruth Philips asides from others is the great quality, packaging, and caring about our customers. I will say that I am proud of being consistent with the quality and loyal customers I have. Like I said earlier, there will be a new product before the end of the year and we are striving to keep providing great quality products to people and we hope this new product will be loved just like the lashes or even more lol

We often hear about learning lessons – but just as important is unlearning lessons. Have you ever had to unlearn a lesson?
Lesson I had to unlearn is “Loss is terrible”. It is okay to experience it because it is teaching the heart and soul about their natural cycle of breaking and healing.
How’d you build such a strong reputation within your market?
I think what built my reputation was me being reliable, efficient and also placing high focus on the quality of products being sold
