Absolutely! Crafting a business name is indeed a challenge. “EscapewithTammyEvents” wasn’t just a name for me; it was a reflection of my journey from being the go-to event organizer in my personal circles to embracing it as a profession. The term “Escape” embodies the essence of the transformative and immersive experiences I aim to create. “Tammy” adds a personal touch, symbolizing the dedication and meticulous planning I bring to every event and travel experience. This name captures the spirit of my passion and commitment to curating unforgettable moments for clients.

My name is Tammy Alao, and I’m an experienced travel/ event planner, avid traveler, and founder of EscapewithTammyEvents, a travel and event planning business based right here in Kansas City. I was born in Nigeria but I relocated to the United States for 17 years ago.

As the pioneer of this millennial travel/ event business, I am dedicated to delivering top-notch services at an affordable price, which is guided by transparency and honesty.

I have always loved planning events and always loved travel, so this seemed like a natural fit! I have had great success so far and am excited for what the future holds! I have personally been to 13 countries and 20 states, planning all the trips for myself, my family, and friends. This is why I decided to start my travel/event planning business in August 2023.

Certainly! In building my social media audience, authenticity has been key. I started by defining my brand voice and consistently delivering content that resonated with my target audience. Engagement is crucial, so I actively interacted with followers, responded to comments, and participated in relevant conversations.

Consistency in posting, utilizing hashtags strategically, and sharing behind-the-scenes glimpses of my event/travel planning journey helped create a connection with my audience. Collaborating with influencers and cross-promoting with relevant accounts also played a significant role.

For those starting, my advice is to be genuine, find your niche, and be consistent in delivering valuable content. Engage with your audience, analyze what works through insights, and adapt your strategy accordingly. Building a social media presence takes time, so be patient and stay true to your brand.
